L'area panoramica dei campi terrazzati di Longji ha un'area di 70,1 chilometri quadrati. Facendo parte di esso, Ping'an Zhuang Terraced Fields Spot si trova nel villaggio di Ping'an. Ci sono 190 famiglie con una popolazione di oltre 700 persone. Tutti i residenti appartengono alla minoranza Zhuang, con lo stesso cognome di Liao. L'altitudine qui va da 380 metri a 880 metri sul livello del mare. Ecco due punti di vista: "Nove draghi e cinque tigri", che significa che le nove montagne di tendenza simili a draghi si estendevano dall'alto verso il basso fino al fiume Jinjiang (il fiume d'oro), assaggiando l'acqua piacevole. Al contrario, i cinque fianchi della collina sembrano cinque tigri, accovacciate lì come guardiane della terra. I terrazzamenti erano coltivati in filari, alcuni dei quali sono come catene, mentre gli altri sono come cinture, formando una forma di chiocciole o torri. Nell'oceano dei terrazzamenti ci sono 15.862 pezzi di campi, tutti di diverse forme e dimensioni.

It was expected that the journey would be long, but the stay was then too short and only two closely spaced lookouts were hiked.

The full day tour to the Longji rice terraces had been very nice. The scenery is really impressive. Not many Chinese tourists have been there in November either, which also made the tour enjoyable. Can highly recommend the tour. Everything worked out well and we also watched a sunset in the evening.

This was a wonderful tour that I did one-on-one with my guide, Daniel. He took his time to explain the history of the rice terraces, discuss the history of tea in the region while allowing us time to actually sip the tea with a local, and when we had some extra time, he took me to explore other parts of the area, including a Yao village and the hair museum. I really learned so much from him, and would gladly do a tour with him again.
