La tua avventura inizia con un comodo pick-up dal tuo hotel, seguito da un viaggio panoramico lungo la strada "pico do carvão", che offre una vista mozzafiato sia sulla costa nord che su quella sud dell'isola di São Miguel
Visita al Parco Naturale Lagoa do Canário. Ottimo posto per una breve passeggiata nella natura e una sosta per le fotografie della laguna situata all'interno del parco.
Fermati al famoso belvedere Vista do Rei, dove potrai ammirare viste panoramiche sulle affascinanti acque blu e verdi dei laghi gemelli incastonati all'interno del vulcano Sete Cidades.
Fermati in questo punto panoramico per osservare la Laguna di Santiago e l'ambiente naturale che la circonda.
Continua la tua esplorazione con visite a diversi altri punti panoramici, avvicinandoti alle rive di questi splendidi laghi. Il tour procede lungo le rive delle lagune all'interno della caldera vulcanica.
Fermati all'affascinante centro della città di Sete Cidades per una visita. (Avrete un po 'di tempo libero per visitare il giardino, chiesa locale, negozio di souvenir, e pausa caffè).
Visita il punto più occidentale per una vista panoramica sulle scogliere, le montagne e il mare. Ex punto di vedetta per la caccia alle balene.
A metà giornata, goditi un delizioso pranzo con cucina tradizionale delle Azzorre in un ristorante locale, che ti rifornirà per la prossima tappa del viaggio. (Goditi antipasti locali, piatti principali, dolci, bevande, caffè o tè). Pasti vegetariani disponibili.
Dopo pranzo, salite sul Pico da Barrosa, che si trova a un'altitudine impressionante di 947 metri, dove potrete ammirare gli splendidi punti panoramici che si affacciano sulla Lagoa do Fogo (Lago del Fuoco).
La Cascata del Salto do Cabrito è una manifestazione sorprendente della geotermia della regione. Alta circa 40 metri, l’acqua si tuffa da un precipizio roccioso ricoperto di muschio e felci. Laggiù, l'atmosfera è umida e mistica, con lo scenario che forma una volta naturale sul fiume.
Prima di concludere la giornata e tornare al tuo hotel o Airbnb, prenditi un momento per apprezzare la bellissima spiaggia di sabbia nera di Santa Bárbara sulla costa nord dell'isola.

This was a great tour. They picked us up from our accommodation on time and returned back. Our guide was very good, we enjoyed his tour and was very helpful to answer all our questions. He even gave recommendations on plaves around the island. We booked this tour last minute as we were planning to do this driving with a rental car. We ended up getting the car a day later so we booked this tour. I think it ended up being much better than drving ourselves to all these places. The your was with a van and a group of 6 people in total which made it very comfortable as well. I totally recommend this tour and this company. Our tour guide Joaquim was very good.
The route is very beautiful and the guide is very professional and friendly. The food included in the tour was very good. It is a highly recommended excursion.
Today we have been on the greatest trip with a great guide, José Miguel. José is a great narrator and radiates with enthusiasm when he describes landscapes, culture and history. My friends and I had a wonderful time seeing the west side of the island with our guide, Joaquim. He was very friendly, and extremely knowledgeable of all the beautiful sites we visited. We all would highly recommend this tour with Joaquin. San Miguel is a must see.
Interesting and informative tour around a fascinating and beautiful island. Our driver and guide José was excellent - informative and friendly (without being too talkative all the time, which is a risk on this sort of tour). Excellent lunch included too - cooked in a natural hot spring :) All in all, heartily recommended! --Tim
Our guide Joaquim was excellent. We had a wonderful day. Saw the black sand beach, waterfalls and many beautiful views.
We booked through Lisa Ringleberg, who was a great help in booking the tours. She also gave us a lot of advice and guidance. We went of two tours. the first one was Sete Cidades, and the second tour to the west was to Lagoa do Fogo. Our Guide and driver for both days was Joachim. He was absolutely excellent. There were 8 of us in our group, and we were all on the one mini bus. Joachim speaks an number of languages, he is very knowledgeable, and full of informative, and very proud of the Azores. We also had a lot of fun and he answered all our questions. The scenery was stunning, as well as the flora and fauna.

Guide prepared and attentive to detail. We booked the tour of Sete Cidades. Joaquim (the guide) picked us up and then brought us back to the indicated place and was punctual both on the way out and on the way back. Given the island’s typically changing microclimate, he assessed on the spot what the next step was to make sure we had the best experience, without skipping any of the planned destinations on the program. Very considerate throughout and kind.
