La nostra guida ti mostrerà tutte le bellezze come gli enormi uccelli, le belle alpache e le vigogne e più di 79 diversi tipi di cactus. Il nostro tour inizia molto presto per poter arrivare in tempo a Condor's Cross e guardare i condor che volano sopra le nostre teste, seguire il nostro percorso verso diverse piccole città e, naturalmente, visitare le rilassanti sorgenti termali.

Dopo aver raccolto tutti i partecipanti partiamo da Arequipa alle 3:30 del mattino e ci dirigiamo verso Chivay dove ci fermiamo per la colazione e poi proseguiamo verso Condor's Cross, il posto migliore per osservare il Canyon e i famosi uccelli delle Ande Condor.
Il Canyon del Colca è due volte più profondo del Grand Canyon. L'area che circonda il Canyon è famosa per le sue città tradizionali e colorate che attraverserai lungo il percorso. Nel Canyon puoi trovare oltre 100 tipi di uccelli, oltre 300 tipi di piante e più di 30 tipi di cactus. Il punto più alto del Canyon è Ampato a 6388 metri sul livello del mare. Queste cime innevate fanno da sfondo al Canyon.
Dopo la croce del condor andiamo alle sorgenti termali, che si trovano vicino a Chivay. L'ingresso costa 15 suole e non è incluso nel prezzo. Nelle sorgenti termali troverete diverse piscine con temperatura dell'acqua da 30 ° C a 60 ° C. Entrare nelle Hot Springs è facoltativo ma è sicuramente una bella esperienza.
Sulla via del ritorno ad Arequipa ci fermiamo nella riserva in un posto chiamato Pampa Cañahuas per vedere vulcani ma anche camelidi come alpaca, lama e vigogna. La fermata è di soli 15 minuti ma vedrai vulcani e camelidi per più di 1 ora.

Unacceptable cooperation. They canceled our excursion at the last minute while we were waiting very early in the morning for them to pick us up. Because of the last-minute cancellation, we didn’t have enough time to book with someone else. We did not receive a full refund.
This trip was booked 3 months in advance. When I signed up, I confirmed my hotel location and received confirmation that I would be picked up. 3 am came and went and no show off the tour company! Completely out of luck for the day, no refund policy, buy beware!
We were waiting for our transport at 3am to our hotel to receive a cancellation notice at 3:35am for no reason. Very disappointed. We were in arequipa for this activity and we could not enjoy it.
Tour did not show up at 3am to 3:30 am. They cancelled on us earlier that morning without any notice. If we had know. The day prior we could have booked with a different company. Trek the Cocola provider is NO good. We came to Arequipa for the canyon and it was our only day that fit. If we had just known the day prior that they had NO intention of showing up we would have had time to find a different operator. Very disappointing. All other tours have worked flawlessly. DO NOT use track the Cocola!
Colca valley and canyon are stunning. We loved seeing the Condors so close and we enjoyed the hot springs. BUT the 3 hour journey there and 3 hours back were the most uncomfortable I have had on any excursion - there simply is not enough leg room for anyone over about 172 cm. My knees were rammed up hard against the seat in front, so think hard about booking this if you are over 172 cm. Plus we were dropped at one spot and told to be back at 9.30 (an hour after drop off) but it was nearly 10am by the time the minibus arrived, so we had stood around doing nothing for 30 minutes simply waiting.
Beautiful scenery despite the absence of condors!!! Discovery of the canyon, volcanoes... Pay attention to the entrance fees to the canyon. We give the pennies to the guide (I am with a child) and initially it was the total price for 2 while the poster indicates child prices. He came back to us because he got "a discount" on my son's ticket. I find myself having paid twice his ticket after checking at the hotel!!!!
My friends and I took a trip to Colca for a day, it was a long day but, it's worth it. My friends were fascinated with the wonderful view of the Colca Valley, the depth of the canyon and the flight of the condors. If you like to go to the Colca Valley in a day, I recommend you go between March and October. In these months there is the possibility of enjoying the flight of condors with greater possibility since, in the rainy season it can be difficult to appreciate them. Because I broke my ankle three four weeks ago, I wasn’t able to go on the tour. I was disappointed! I was also disappointed that I wasn’t able to get a refund; but I knew that in advance .
It was an amazing experience in the Colca canyon, we departed early in the morning around 3:30 am, the team arrived on time to our aribnb. The breakfast was good and the lunch was cheap considering we ate a lot. The altitude sickness could hit you very bad so it would be better to bring some medicine because it is hard to find it near the Canyon. I would recommend the experience!
A very nice experience in the Colca Canyon, we went with the family and had an incredible time, the guides were very kind and attentive to us, the tours are wonderful and the local food is delicious, we had a lot of fun and we hope to return soon.
