Partendo dal tuo posto ad Atene, ci dirigeremo a ovest verso la nostra prima breve sosta, l'imponente canale di Corinto, al confine tra Attica e Peloponneso. Successivamente, l'Antica Corinto, una delle città più importanti dell'antica Grecia dove avremo la possibilità di cammineremo intorno alle rovine del Tempio di Apollo, seguendo i passi dell'Apostolo Paolo. Successivamente saliremo sull'Acropoli di Corinto, proprio sopra la città e godremo della vista dell'area che si estende dal golfo di Corinto al canale e anche oltre. Successivamente avrai la possibilità di visitare un vigneto e degustare i vini locali o un uliveto e scoprire tutto sull'olio extra vergine di oliva. A voi la scelta... in ogni caso vi divertirete tantissimo!!!

Dopo la sensazione travolgente iniziale di essere a 90 metri sopra il livello dell'acqua, guardando verso il basso, ammirerai questo bellissimo canale con le pareti strette e ripide distanti solo 26 metri e lunghe circa 6 chilometri. Gli antenati Greci ci pensarono per la prima volta, ma non era possibile con i macchinari disponibili al momento, quindi non fu fino al 1893 che fu finalmente completato.
Corinto è stata una città molto ricca nei tempi antichi. Pur essendo situata intorno a questa terra molto fertile, coltivando ulivi, vigneti e molto altro, la città si è sviluppata notevolmente nel commercio di tutti questi prodotti, prendendo anche il vantaggio della sua posizione strategica tra Atene e Sparta. Ai giorni nostri, il Tempio di Apollo domina il sito archeologico ben conservato che dà al visitatore un'idea completa della città degli antenati e delle sue parti più importanti.
La disputa tra Poseidone e Helios (dio del sole) trovò in seguito il "leggendario proprietario" di questo castello che si affaccia sul golf corinzio. La sua posizione unica ha reso il castello difficile da conquistare, quindi ha svolto un ruolo importante attraverso i secoli della storia greca. Oggi, gran parte delle mura difensive veneziane sono ancora conservate e il visitatore può godere di una vista a 360 gradi.

We had a wonderful tour with Ted., from Athens experiences. Pre trip communication was excellent. He was punctual, informative and is a great driver. We visited the Corinth canal, the ruins and the castle. Our final stop was at a wonderful winery, with a tour and a tasting. We also used Ted for our transfer from the airport to our hotel, and for our transfer from hotel to cruise port. Again, very punctual and efficient. We highly recommend Ted.

This day was so much fun! We learned a lot about Greek culture while talking to Ted during the drive and it was so cool to visit an area we had read about the apostle Paul visiting in the Bible. The wine at the vineyard we visited was amazing as well!

Ted was so wonderful. His love for Greece shows in his pride and hospitality. He made everything easy to understand and helped translate where needed. Visiting Corinth was absolutely amazing! Ted is just a great guy. He tells and shows you all the places that only the locals would know. He is VERY polite and flexible. When we informed him that we weren't big wine drinkers, he brought us to an alternative site, the Temple of Hera. This was by an inlet visited only by locals. He brought us to a family owned restaurant. The cuisine was to die for. I highly recommend this tour!
