In mattinata, lasceremo Madrid per andare nella città delle tre culture, Toledo. Cammineremo per le strade di una città che è stata dichiarata Patrimonio dell'Umanità dal 1986. Le sue chiese secolari, sinagoghe e moschee riflettono la miscela unica di culture che hanno plasmato la sua storia, mentre i suoi vicoli medievali tortuosi, i punti panoramici e gli imponenti monumenti creano un'atmosfera che trasporta i visitatori indietro nel tempo.
Nel pomeriggio, visiteremo Segovia. Parcheggeremo molto vicino all’Acquedotto, che sarà il primo monumento che troveremo in città. Formato da 167 archi, è considerato uno dei meglio conservati al mondo. Il centro storico di Segovia, anch’esso sito Patrimonio dell’Umanità, affascina i visitatori con le sue strade medievali, la maestosa cattedrale e l’imponente sagoma dell’Alcázar, una fortezza che si erge drammaticamente sul paesaggio e sembra tratta da una fiaba.

The visit to Segovia was excellent, the guide Mateo was friendly and patient. The Toledo guide was a little rushed and did not specify on the map where he was leaving us and this created anxiety that we lost in the same streets of Toledo.

We had a great tour guide Mateo for Segovia. I would recommend a full day for each to have a more leisurely day. We did half day each and the morning portion was a bit too crowded. The pickup area was a bit disorganized but ultimately smooth. Note: if you do two half-day tours on the same day, you are dropped back in Madrid for an hour before boarding for the second half. Would rather have spent more time at the destinations and less time driving on the same day. Live and learn. Beautiful cities with some spectacular settings and fun city streets.
