Trascorri un'intera giornata mescolando spiritualità, paesaggi montani e il meglio della gastronomia catalana. Partenza da Barcellona per Montserrat, una delle montagne più emblematiche della Catalogna, Parco Nazionale e luogo di pellegrinaggio da oltre mille anni. Sali a bordo dell'iconico treno a cremagliera fino al monastero, con viste mozzafiato sulla montagna sacra. In cima, la tua Guida conduce un tour di 45 minuti del monastero benedettino, fondato nell'XI secolo e dimora della venerata Vergine Nera (La Moreneta), patrona della Catalogna. La visita si conclude con una degustazione esclusiva di liquori tradizionali artigianali dei monaci: la ratafía e il famoso Aromes de Montserrat. Vi attende uno storico castello-azienda vinicola catalana con splendida vista sui vigneti, dove potrete gustare un pranzo tradizionale catalano a base di tapas con dessert. La tua Guida conduce una passeggiata tra i vigneti e la tenuta storica, accompagnata da una degustazione di tre vini firmati DO Pla de Bages, tutti impegnati nella produzione sostenibile.

Montserrat è un monastero in cima a una montagna situato sulla cima di un'insolita montagna rocciosa. È il punto più alto della pianura catalana. Il monastero di Montserrat ospita “la Moreneta”, detta anche Madonna Nera. La leggenda dice che i monaci benedettini trovarono la statua e non potevano spostarla per costruire il loro monastero, così decisero di costruirla attorno alla statua. Montserrat è stato designato Parco Nazionale nel 1987. Oggi è un luogo di pellegrinaggio per persone di tutto il mondo. Una volta a Montserrat, goditi un tour guidato di 45 minuti per piccoli gruppi, dopodiché avrai 2 ore per esplorare da solo. Puoi visitare il Museo, assaggiare il liquore fatto in casa del monastero, fare una facile passeggiata fino alla croce di San Miguel per un incredibile punto di vista, salire sulla funicolare di Sant Joan, scattare splendide foto, acquistare prodotti locali dal mercato agricolo e altro ancora.
L'origine del monastero è incerta, ma si ritiene che la Vergine di Monsterrat (La Moreneta) sia stata ritrovata intorno all'880. (Le visite delle 8:30 e delle 13:30 includono i biglietti per La Moreneta). Secondo la leggenda i monaci costruirono il monastero attorno alla statua. Il monastero funziona ancora oggi con oltre 70 monaci. La basilica di Montserrat iniziò la sua costruzione nel XVI secolo e oggi ospita un museo d'arte. È anche il luogo dove la Escolania, uno dei cori di voci bianche più antichi d'Europa, si esibisce durante le cerimonie religiose (puoi ascoltarli durante la visita guidata delle 9:30).

We had a group of 11, adults and children. We were excited to see Montserrat & the Black Madonna. The pickup location and bus ride were easy & comfortable. There were 2 tour guides due to the group size (full bus). They played off each other during the ride as they provided insight on the history of Spain, and what we could expect on the days tour. We started by touring the grounds & church. I was very disappointed that we did not get to see the Black Madonna, you need to buy a ticket by 10:45am. Our guide failed to notify us about this, we had plenty of time to do this if we would have known about it. He said the tour did not include this, that's OK but he should have told us about the need and timing for purchasing tickets. BTW the website does not mention whether or not you can see the Black Madonna. Somebody needs to address this.
Miro was amazing great tour!! He was very nice, hospitable and extremely knowledgeable!
The tour people asked if we could do a different day and we couldn’t so they transferred us to their ‘sister company’. I thought we were getting a small personalized tour but we ended up on a bus with multiple tours and guides. The bus trip up caused me anxiety because of the heights and cliffs on the road. We were expecting an 8 our trip and it ended up being 8-7:30 pm. Too long. The tour guides were nice but I felt like it was a little bait and switch. I would not have chosen this if I had known what it was. It was good to experience the monastery and the views. If I had to do it again I would take the train from Barcelona on my own and take the cogwheel train up or hire a local driver. I understand that this is a big tour operation and they got the job done but that’s all it was…a big tour where we were herded around. The winery dinner was an average pre-fix dinner and it felt like I was at a wedding with a hundred and fifty people I didn’t know. Wine tasting was fine.

We spent our day with Miro, our guide, and Jesus, our driver. Miro was so knowledgeable about Montserrat and he was a great wine tasting host as well. The transportation was flawless and the wine and food were great! Definitely recommend for those wanting a Spanish vineyard experience, the bright side is you also get to see Montserrat!

We loved the tour and the fun version of the history of Barcelona on the way up the mountain. But truly what made it special was our guide and his knowledge of the wines when we went to the amazing vineyard for our tasting and lunch! So so good. It was a very small group (12) so no big bus and a very fun group of people.

The tour was a great experience, and our guide, Miro, made it even better. He shared a lot of interesting information in a relaxed, entertaining, and humorous way, which made the whole day enjoyable. You could tell he was passionate and knowledgeable, and he kept everyone engaged. Montserrat was beautiful and definitely worth visiting. My only regret is that I didn't take the funicular (Funicular de Sant Joan) all the way to the top. I'm sure the views would have been amazing! I also enjoyed trying some traditional Catalan specialties, especially mató, which was delicious. The visit to the winery was interesting as well, and it was nice to learn more about the local wines and the winemaking process. Overall, it was a very well-organized tour with a perfect mix of sightseeing, local culture, and great storytelling. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you have Miro as your guide!

We went on the Monserrat with tapas and wine tasting- booked on get your guide. Our tour guide Miro was great! He knows so much about Barcelona and the Catalan experience and I learned a lot about Catalonia and the history of Spain, Galacia, and modern day Barcelona. He was attentive, interactive and very personable. He also was very aware of the needs of those on the tour and made sure to check if people were falling behind or needed water. Miro was very helpful in helping us find different things and experiences in Monserrat. Monserrat was beautiful and the ride up and down was very scenic and picturesque. Such a fantastic tour. Xavi is very knowledgeable and personable but the best bit is that he ‘reads the room’ and adjusts the tour to the needs of the group. We had a great time at the monastery with the perfect balance between ‘tour time’ and ‘free time’. The winery tour was fabulous and the tapas and wine tasting utterly outstanding. We had an incredible day with Miro as our guide! We did the monastery with wine/lunch option and thought it was a really great deal for everything included. The vineyard was beautiful, lunch was a good variety, and the wines were great as well. I enjoyed the set itinerary and also felt we had enough free time to do what we’d like. I learned so much about Barcelona from Miro and he made the day trip so enjoyable!
