Casa della Vergine Maria è il luogo in cui Maria potrebbe aver trascorso i suoi ultimi giorni. Anzi, potrebbe essere venuta nell'area insieme a San Giovanni. Questo luogo è stato ufficialmente dichiarato un santuario della Chiesa cattolica romana nel 1986, e da allora è diventato un popolare luogo di pellegrinaggio. Papa Paolo VI visitò il santuario nel 1967. La visita alla casa (chiesa) dura circa 45 minuti e dopo la nostra visita; ci saranno 5 minuti in auto da Efeso.
Efeso è una testimonianza eccezionale delle tradizioni culturali dei periodi ellenistico, imperiale romano e paleocristiano. Efeso è un sito importante per il cristianesimo; essendo una delle sette Chiese dell'Apocalisse. L'apostolo Paolo trascorse probabilmente due anni e mezzo a Efeso durante il suo terzo viaggio missionario. Tra due ore esplorerai la città camminando per le strade di marmo, accompagnato dalla nostra guida turistica di lingua inglese. Nel nostro tour vedremo Odeon, Agorà di Stato, Prytaneion, Monumento a Memmio, Tempio di Domatio, Porta di Ercole, Via Curetes, Tempio di Adriano, Latriens. Le visite alla Private House (il cosiddetto bordello, "Terrace Houses") sono facoltative per un extra di 25 ₺ / persona e la tua guida dovrebbe essere informata in anticipo. Dopo Terrace Houses, proseguiremo con la nostra esplorazione con Celus Library, Marble Road, Commercial Agora, Great Theather, Arcadiane (Harbour Road).
Continueremo con la visita al Tempio di Artemide; che è una delle "sette meraviglie" dell'antichità. Qui, ci saranno buone possibilità di scattare foto di Church of St.JohnandMosque di İsa Beyfrom anche l'angolazione migliore.
Sirince è un antico villaggio di "Rum" (Greci bizantini) situato sulle colline di Selcuk e 7 km da Efeso. Come parte del trattato di pace dopo la guerra nazionale turca (1919-1922), fu concordato uno scambio formale di turchi e greci e Sirince è ora abitata dai turchi. Il villaggio è famoso per le belle case tradizionali e la produzione di vino aromatizzato alla frutta; e avrai un tempo libero per una degustazione di vini.

Our guide was fantastic, very good-natured and did a great job managing the group which was diverse with some young children and older people so we didn’t move very fast. We would have enjoyed more time in Ephesus which was the main reason we came to the area. We did add the Terrace houses (paying additional 15€ each onsite when asked if anyone wanted to stop there - it’s inside the ancient city) though nobody else in the tour did this. We thought it was super interesting to see what an actual Roman house and village looked like. But had to zoom through it since timing so tight and this took even more time away from the short duration to see Ephesus ruins.

What a beautiful trip with lots of explanations about Ephesus and Sirinze by our guide Hüray and driver Ali who drove us through a beautiful landscape. Booked through Get Your Guide with this company. Excellent day trip. Gulay, our guide, was extremely informative and spoke excellent English. The tour gave us plenty of time at each of the sites, and also included a very tasty, filling lunch. The bus was clean and spacious. We particularly enjoyed that this was a small group experience as it was also very nice to get to meet the other passengers from a wide variety of countries. Ephesus itself was incredible, such an interesting and enjoyable place to visit. I would advise visitors to wear sensible shoes as the marble sloping walkways are very slippery. The village of Sirence was also very pretty and we enjoyed visiting here as part of the trip. Overall, we felt the trip was well organised and good value for money.
Pick up and drop off to my hotel door were seamless. Our guide Nizam (sp?) was amazing. So nice and knowledgeable. He made everyone feel comfortable and made us laugh the whole day. I’m especially grateful for his timing of the day. He kept us ahead of cruise ship groups and out of the sun at the hottest times of day.

It was a great tour to see everything in one day. I wish there was no shopping stops. Nixam is funny and great guide to keep you engaged.
