Unisciti a noi in un piccolo gruppo di 11 ore, massimo 16 persone, tour di un giorno da Londra, a Canterbury, Dover e Kent Villages. Questo tour ci porta attraverso la contea conosciuta come il "Giardino d'Inghilterra". Viaggeremo nel tempo, letteralmente, con una visita a Greenwich dove ha avuto inizio il GMT. Poi in profondità nella bellissima campagna del Kent e una sosta nel glorioso villaggio tradizionale del Kent di Chilham. Seguendo Chilham prendiamo la strada panoramica sulle famose White Cliffs of Dover dove scendiamo fino alla riva per una vista spettacolare lungo la costa e fino alle scogliere bianche scintillanti immediatamente dietro di noi. Dalle scogliere ci dirigiamo al Castello di Dover, dove potrai esplorare e vedere oltre 2000 anni di storia, dalla chiesa di epoca romana, ai merli medievali e ai tunnel scavati durante la seconda guerra mondiale. Poi verso la città di Canterbury, con la sua famosa cattedrale di 900 anni fa. Visita la cattedrale e unisciti a noi in un tour guidato a piedi di Canterbury prima del nostro ritorno a Londra dopo un'intera giornata di esplorazione.

Facciamo una breve sosta a Greenwich mentre usciamo da Londra. Greenwich fa parte del nostro itinerario naturale fuori città ed è un ottimo posto per noi per fermarci e prendere un caffè e usare il bagno prima di uscire in campagna. Ammira Cutty Sark, un famoso veliero restaurato del 19 ° secolo. Ascolta le storie dei re e delle regine in visita e scopri l'osservatorio che ha dato i natali al Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) e vedi il famoso Royal Naval College.
Passeggiate per questo bellissimo esempio di villaggio Inglese tradizionale. Pieno di fascino e incentrato su una piazza del paese, con una chiesa, un pub e sale da tè. Chilham è forse il villaggio più bello del Kent. Godetevi una tazza di tè e uno scone dalle sale da tè, o forse una pinta di birra locale dallo storico pub del villaggio.
Ti portiamo sul litorale sotto le famose White Cliffs of Dover. Uno dei luoghi naturali più iconici dell'Inghilterra e uno spettacolo di benvenuto per soldati e piloti che tornano a casa dalla guerra nella storia. Passeggia lungo la spiaggia di ciottoli con le scogliere dietro di te e, tempo permettendo, una vista di 20 miglia attraverso il Canale della Manica verso la Francia.
Esplora questo glorioso castello medievale - descrive come la "Chiave dell'Inghilterra". Enorme significato difensivo nel corso della storia inglese, e in uso come posizione difensiva dall'età del ferro 3000 anni fa, anche usato dai romani - evidenziato da un faro romano sul sito - la struttura romana permanente più completa in Inghilterra. Avrai un paio d'ore per visitare questo incredibile castello - forse mangerai un boccone in uno dei loro caffè.
Passiamo 2,5 ore a Canterbury. Il tempo di esplorare questa famosa città Inglese, magari fare shopping, mangiare un boccone o bere un drink in uno dei suoi numerosi pub carismatici. Forse prendetevi il tempo per visitare la spettacolare cattedrale del sito patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO - l'enorme cattedrale di Canterbury dell'XI secolo. Più tardi, unisciti alla tua Guida per un tour a piedi della storia e dei punti salienti di Canterbury, ascolta le storie di Chaucer e dei padri fondatori, segui le orme dei pellegrini in visita al santuario di Thomas Becket, prima di ripartire per Londra.

Absolutely fantastic: our guide, Cara, was so knowledgeable, totally interesting and amazingly enthusiastic throughout the day. From the start, she gave us fun facts about London’s history and geography, and followed it with a wealth of information about the Kingdom of Kent: its rulers, raiders, citizens, heroes, villains, along with facts about buildings, foods, and drinks! We had a fantastic experience on our trip to Canterbury and the Cliffs. The bus was very clean and comfortable. We had plenty of time at each stop to sample the local food and explore. Can't say enough good things about our guide Jon. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole trip very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour!

This was a fabulous tour! Providing comfortable travel with a skilled driver who was also an exceptional guide. Lucy was knowledgeable and passionate about the history she imparted, making it entertaining and relevant to us today. Absolutely recommend!
Our group of 6 (2 grandparents, 2 adults, 1 seven year old, and 1 adult with Down syndrome/limited mobility) greatly enjoyed our tour of Greenwich, Chillam, the White Cliffs, Dover Castle, and Canterbury. The bus was comfortable, our guide (Alex) was kind and knowledgeable, and the day well-planned. It made for a long day (about 12 hours total out and back from London on the journey), but more than worth it for the sights and views. If you want a lot of time (more than 2 hours) at Dover Castle, just know you may want to do that outside of this tour. Every other stop offered more bean enough time to explore on our own/walk with our guide to enjoy all the sights on offer. Another highlight of this particular company is the small group size and ability to stop off/take roads that the big tour buses can’t navigate. Overall, highly, highly recommend!

We did the White Cliffs of Dover, Dover Castle and Canterbury. Great choice! Our guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor which made the day even more enjoyable. Good communication. He contacted us the evening before to prepare us for the next day and kept in touch during our free time on the tour. The tour is well worth the money and we could relax while he navigated the route with ease. Thank you Alex and English Bus!
