Itinerario

Our guide, Arthur, was fantastic throughout the day. He was early for the morning pickup, friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire day both fun and educational. Arthur had many interesting facts and stories to tell throughout the day. All-in-all my wife and I had a great time and would highly recommend! The only "con" I would say is the timing at some of the stops was a little short. We could have used maybe another 15-20 minutes at most of the stops as they have WC, areas to buy souvenirs and grab food, as well as the sights themselves.
Edgar is great and full of good information, the tour was excellent!
Slavi is really informative and humorous, the weather is not perfect, but he made our days.
Hi there, thanks for taking a moment. Glad the Golden Circle day was a great one despite the weather. We'd be delighted to host you again! Arctic Adventures Team
This tour is certainly a must if you are visiting Iceland. 8 hours is shorter than some of the other tours on offer, but it certainly packs in a lot and suited me. Kerid crater, Guilford falls and Thingvellir were definitely highlights, but there were plenty of other stops along the route. An additional bonus was having an opportunity to see some Icelandic horses up close. Be prepared for all weathers. It is not an exaggeration to say the wind can be severe and when paired with rain in the exposed areas, vicious. Due to the rain, some of the paths can be slippy, so I recommend sturdy boots. And layers! My only criticism would be that I would've liked a little longer at the geysirs/lunch spot. There were huge crowds, so took a while to get a viewing spot for Strokkur, then long queue for the bathroom left only 10 mins to get a drink. Another 10 mins would have been just enough. (Each spot was very busy at this summer time of year) Our driver was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about the land and history, which added to the experience. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience which I have no hesitation in recommending.
I was in Reykyavik for a conference and had extra day , therefore, I booked a golden circle full day tour with Arctic Adventure. The day tour was led by a guide named Indra. He was very professional and friendly- "In Iceland, there is never a bad weather because it changes every 15 minutes.". I really enjoyed this trip, which has inspired me to return back to Iceland and do multi days trip in near future.
Hi Sunilt, appreciate you sharing this. Squeezing the Golden Circle into a spare day between conference sessions is a solid move, and it sounds like it did what it was supposed to, which is give you a reason to come back for longer. We will be happy to welcome you soon! Arctic Adventures Team
Our guide Maria was very knowledgeable and offered enough viewing time at each site. We had a great time!
Hi there, thank you for sharing! Pacing on the Golden Circle is trickier than it looks, enough time at each stop without the day dragging, and it sounds like your guide got the balance right. That's the version of the day we're always aiming for. Arctic Adventures Team
We booked a tour as opposed to self drive because we wanted the guide knowledge. Our guide Andreas was great, very knowledgable and helpful….sadly his microphone wasn’t great at all and we could barely hear him. We enjoyed the tour and the sights were wonderful. The weather wasn’t the best. Definitely make sure you’re well prepared with waterproofs and good boots or you’ll be a bit miserable if it’s wet and windy like it was for us. Also the queues for food at some of the more busy rest stops makes the timings tight as you don’t really have very long at each stop. It’s also very expensive. If you can take stuff with you to keep you going you’ll have a lot more time.
Hi there, thanks for taking the time to write this up. Wet and windy is honest Iceland weather, and it sounds like you came prepared enough to enjoy the day anyway. Thanks for your note on the microphone, we'll get that checked. Thank you for joining us! Arctic Adventures Team
I had an absolutely amazing experience on the Golden Circle Tour! Everything was perfectly organized—the timing was spot on, the drive was smooth, and every stop was breathtaking. Our guide, Björguin, was fantastic: friendly, funny, and genuinely caring. He filled the journey with fascinating stories and facts about Iceland, so the drive itself became part of the adventure. Time flew by because every moment was enjoyable and full of new experiences. The places we visited were simply stunning. This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Iceland. Highly recommended!
Hi there, thanks for the kind review. Glad the Golden Circle was such a great day from start to finish, and that the guide made the drives part of the adventure. Looking forward to having you back. Arctic Adventures Team
Edgar was very good. He explained everything into details and he was very flexible with the tour - he stopped also at other destinations which were not on tour.
Hi there, thank you for taking the time. A guide who knows the route well enough to adapt around the group is one of the things that separates a fine Golden Circle day from a great one. Glad yours was the latter. Arctic Adventures Team
Edgar was a great tour guide. All the destinations were fantastic. We always had enough time everywhere.
Hi there, thank you for the kind words. A Golden Circle day done right comes down to good pacing at each stop, so guests don't feel rushed through any of it. Glad that's how the day worked out for you. Arctic Adventures Team
