Itinerario
Verremo a prendervi dal vostro hotel o residence a Dhaka City e inizieremo a muoverci verso Sonargaon (circa 1 a 1,5 ore di viaggio). 11 : 00 am – 11 : 30 am : Prima visiteremo la Moschea di Goaldi che fu costruita nel 1519 d.C. in un villaggio Goaldi a Sonargaon dal Mulla Hizabar Akbar Khan durante il regno del sultano Hussain Shah. È una delle antiche Moschee del Bangladesh. Facciamo una piccola pausa tè qui.
Boro Sardar Bari a Sonargaon è un palazzo storico costruito nel 1901 dalla ricca famiglia di mercanti Sardar. Conosciuto per il suo elegante stile architettonico indoeuropeo, l'edificio presenta grandi colonne, finestre ad arco e disegni intricati. Un tempo simbolo di prosperità, ora fa parte del Museo delle Arti e Mestieri Popolari di Sonargaon, che mostra il ricco patrimonio culturale e artistico del Bengala. È una delle attrazioni più importanti di Sonargaon, che riflette la grandezza del passato della regione.
Andremo all’Edificio Principale (Prasad) che un tempo era il palazzo del Re Isa Kha. Ora è utilizzato per Folk, Art and Craft Museum e coprono anche l'edificio di nuova costruzione di arte popolare. Attraversiamo tutto il campus per esplorare l'antica capitale del Bengala.
Visiteremo la città di Panam che è stata costruita nel 1500 d.C. Alcuni ricchi signori indù hanno operato la loro attività qui e fatto una città per vivere con tutti i servizi. L'area è divisa da una sola strada è i principali edifici del sistema coloniale. Quegli edifici artistici ci porteranno nell'antica Bangla. 13 : 30 – 14 : 00 pm : Pranzeremo in un ristorante vicino con cibo locale che potrebbe essere un po’ piccante e caldo. Fateci sapere dopo la prenotazione se avete bisogno di esigenze particolari.. 14 : 00 pm – 14 : 30 pm : Ci riposeremo un po’ sotto il verde e spettegolezzeremo.
Andremo al fiume Meghna per fare un giro in barca. Il Megh è uno dei 3 fiumi principali del Bangladesh. Sonargaon si trova sulla riva del fiume Meghna.

It is a half-day tour from 11am. It is better to confirm the opening date of each facility in advance of the participation date. It is recommended to bring an umbrella to avoid sudden rain. Both pick-up and drop-off can be specified by the hotel, so it is safe to say.

We took this tour on a very hot day in late April, and it was great to have an air-conditioned vehicle to take us from one location to the next in Sonargaon. At the guide's request, we ended up departing at 1pm instead of 11am, which meant the tour was a little shorter than expected (as we still returned at 6pm). As a result, some of the stops felt a little rushed and it would have been nice to have an extra 10 min or so at each place (we were at each stop for 15-30 mins rather than the 1-2 hours indicated in the schedule). The most relaxing part of the day ended up being the optional boat ride. This small criticism aside, we were able to see all of the promised highlights and felt very satisfied with the tour overall. (In all honesty, the times indicated in the schedule would be too long for most of the stops, especially in the heat - something inbetween would be ideal). Both our guide, Shahadat, and driver were very professional. Shahadat gave us useful information prior to departure, accompanied us to each of the attractions, and even took photographs for us, and we had a safe and punctual journey. Comparing this tour with others on offer, we felt it was very good value indeed and would recommend it to anyone in Dhaka looking to get outside the city and see some more of beautiful Bangladesh. Five stars!
