Goditi un viaggio privato di un'intera giornata da Tirana al Kosovo, visitando le due città più importanti: Prizren e Pristina. Esplorerai il centro storico di Prizren con il suo ponte di pietra, il bazar e i monumenti ottomani, quindi proseguirai per Pristina per vedere il Monumento al neonato, la Cattedrale di Madre Teresa e la famosa Biblioteca Nazionale. Itinerario
Partiremo da Tirana e attraverseremo i confini settentrionali dell'Albania, dopodiché attraverseremo il confine con il Kosovo. Questa autostrada relativamente recente che collega i due paesi è diventata un simbolo del rafforzamento della loro connessione e unità. Lo scenario cambierà dalla Tirana metropolitana a città più rurali ed ex minerarie. Situata a circa 260 chilometri da Tirana si trova la capitale e la città più grande del Kosovo: Pristina. Abitato fin dall'età della pietra, dall'antica cultura Vinča, è uno dei siti archeologici e storici più affascinanti.
Situata nel cuore di Pristina, la grande biblioteca è ricca di oltre due milioni di copie di materiali, alcuni risalenti al XV secolo. La sua architettura è un ottimo esempio di brutalismo jugoslavo ed è una magistrale sintesi di design bizantino, ottomano e serbo, che la rende un vero e proprio microcosmo della città. Dal 1982, la Biblioteca funge da Biblioteca Nazionale del Kosovo e continua a offrire uno sguardo maestoso sul suo passato.
Scopri il vivace centro della città di Pristina. Immergiti nel suo patrimonio culturale, ammirando l'iconico monumento di Newborn e la magnifica Cattedrale di Madre Teresa. La sua ricca cultura è evidente anche nelle sue numerose antiche moschee musulmane, risalenti al XIV secolo, che forniscono informazioni sulla fede devota di molti dei suoi cittadini.
Mentre partiamo da Pristina, ci dirigiamo verso Prizren, un titolo stimato della capitale culturale del Kosovo. Adagiata lungo il fiume Bistrica, all'ombra dell'intramontabile castello di Prizren, questa città è stata un faro per la storia e la politica albanese del XIX secolo
Pertanto, non possiamo lasciarci sfuggire l'opportunità di visitare la Casa della Lega di Prizren, un punto di riferimento significativo che ha segnato il primo sforzo per l'indipendenza e l'istituzione di un parlamento e di un governo. Inoltre, possiamo conoscere la cultura del territorio visitando il Museo Etnografico ospitato nella Casa della Lega.
Intraprendi un viaggio di autentica esplorazione e visita il famoso "Ponte di pietra dell'amore" e il bazar tradizionale di Prizren. Situata intorno alla maestosa Moschea Sinan Pasha, questa è la parte più affascinante e ricca di storia di Prizren. It's a long day but worth it. I learned a lot about the history of Kosovo and the Albanian people. Would have preferred more time in Prizren. It is far more interesting than Pristina. But it was still interesting learning about Pristina's fate during the war for independence while in the city itself.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and eager to share everything she knew. My version of the tour started in Prizen and then to Pristina. Prizen was charming and our guide was able to point out all the historic points of interest before the museum. I chose free time instead of the museum and was able to get in some shopping and a very filling lunch at a by our guide. Pristina was meaningful and a great learning experience through monuments and street art.
Great way to see two cities in Kosovo. Our guide was excellent. Prizren was our favorite of the two cities. Please bring Euro or MKD, most places don’t take a credit card.
Amazing experience that blends the history of capital city Pristina with the charm of Prizren. Xhuljano was so friendly, smart, and professional and really kept the group engaged through the long car rides. Definitely a long trip but worth it for someone looking to learn more about the Balkans and go to a different country during their stay in Albania.

It was really neat seeing Kosovo. Our guide was great and I felt like I learned a lot. However, I would have gone to Pristina first as there is less to see there and the way back from prizren is shorter. Otherwise, the day was just really long. There were a couple other items that could’ve been better — for example, the bus driver had 3 hours while in prizren and 2 hours in Pristina to fill fuel in the bus. For some reason though, he didn’t do that til we were already on the bus leaving Pristina. This just added time to the 4 hour ride back which was inefficient. Also, this tour was sold as a “small group” tour, but there were 35 of us. Weirdly, they tried to cancel on me two days before for not having enough people.

Just to kindly clarify, this was during the highest season of the year for tours, and we always try to keep our groups small, usually up to around 15 people. When numbers are higher, we normally divide guests into smaller groups with separate minibuses, but on this date there were not enough travelers to make that possible. That is also why we contacted you before the tour to offer the option to change the date or cancel, but in the end we did our best not to leave anyone out. Regarding the fuel stop, it was around 15 minutes and also allowed guests to use the bathroom or buy something from the local shop. Thank you again for joining us. Zeni was easy going and made time for breaks, we could communicate well despite the language differences. It’s a big day but I had a good experience.
It was a pretty long day, but we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Kosovo. It was amazing value for the length of the trip. Pristina was an interesting city to visit, and it was great to learn a bit about the history of the country on our walking tour. Prizren was beautiful, and it was good to have some free time to wander around. Our tour guide and driver Xhuljano was brilliant! He was very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable and he made the trip very enjoyable!
