La Catacomba di Kom El-Shoqafa. Le catacombe di Kom El Shoqafa che significa "tumulo dei frammenti") è un sito archeologico storico situato ad Alessandria d'Egitto, ed è considerato una delle Sette Meraviglie del Medioevo. La necropoli è costituita da una serie di tombe alessandrine, statue e oggetti archeologici del culto funerario faraonico con influenze ellenistiche e romano-imperiali

Il Teatro Romano è un antico teatro romano situato nella zona di Kom El-Dikka nel centro della città di Alessandria d'Egitto. È una delle reliquie di epoca romana e fu istituita all'inizio del IV secolo d.C. Questo edificio è stato scoperto per caso, mentre rimuoveva la terra per cercare la tomba di Alessandro Magno dalla missione polacca nel 1960. Gli archeologi lo chiamarono Teatro Romano quando furono scoperti i gradini di marmo, ma sorse una grande controversia sulla funzione di questo edificio archeologico. Ci sono voluti circa 30 anni per scavarlo
La cittadella di Qaitbay è uno dei forti più importanti della costa del Mar Mediterraneo. Il sultano mamelucco al-Ashraf Abu al-Nasr Qaitbay lo costruì tra l’882 AH/ 1477 d.C. e l’884/ 1479 d.C. sulle rovine del Faro di Alessandria
La moschea Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi è una moschea egiziana nella città di Alessandria. La storica moschea prende il nome dal mistico Abu'l Abbas al-Mursi del XIII secolo, anch'egli sepolto nello stesso luogo insieme ai membri della famiglia Ashraf.

After the previous day, having visited the pyramids of Giza, our expectations placed in Alexandria were high and with our guide Mariam, with an excellent Spanish, objectively we have exceeded them, visiting the Catacombs, the Roman amphitheater and finally the citadel, additional to the charm of each of these points and the cultural tour in which Mariam has answered each of our questions that have not been few, we have culminated with an excellent lunch in front of the Mediterranean. 100% recommended, we enjoyed it to the fullest. !

Well worth the trip to Alexandria, it's beautiful! There's so much to see too including the library of alexandria, the jewellery museum, national museum and catacombs. You have some extraordinary views of the sea, the colours are incredible!

to Alexandria from Cairo was wonderful. I learned a lot about the Greek and Roman history of Egypt while exploring places like the catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa and the Roman Amphitheater. In addition, the views of the Mediterranean Sea were spectacular, and lunch at a seafront restaurant was the perfect way to end the day. Highly recommended for history and natural beauty lovers
