Ci riuniremo in Calle de Atocha 76, la scuola di cucina più rinomata di Madrid, dove verrai accolto con cava senza fondo mentre aspetti l'arrivo del resto del nostro piccolo gruppo. La nostra guida si presenterà e delineerà il percorso che seguiremo in questa avventura culinaria. Sentiti libero di lasciare qui i tuoi effetti personali in modo sicuro, poiché il tour si concluderà in questo luogo.
Fermati in uno dei primi negozi di ferramenta di Madrid che ha mantenuto il suo arredamento originale per oltre 100 anni. Oggi questo ristorante ritrae la personalità di quel negozio di ferramenta mentre serve deliziosi e raffinati pranzi, cene, tapas e vini. Qui proveremo il famoso Croqueta e un bicchiere di vino perfettamente abbinato. Mentre usciamo dal ristorante, un introduzione del quartiere diviso da calle Atocha, una delle strade centrali di Madrid.
Ora ci avventuriamo nella nostra seconda tappa, un ristorante specializzato in prodotti iberici e Cucina spagnola. A questo punto Fermatevi a vedere e provare la cultura del vermouth di prima mano mentre accompagniamo questo con un basco Pintxo delicatezza, la "Gilda". La guida condividerà le sue conoscenze sulla storia dietro questo Pintxo dolce, piccante e acido e la bevanda che è diventata un abbinamento perfetto per esso.
Lavapies famosa per essere il lato bohémien della città sarà la nostra ultima tappa prima di sederci giù per cena. Qui andremo in uno dei bar più rinomati dei quartieri dove avrà un delizioso, e affumicato, prodotto di salumi di Leon e un vino tipico della Paesi Baschi.
Concludiamo il nostro tour di tapas al punto di partenza, nella cucina più rinomata e divertente di Madrid scuola. TAKE THIS TOUR. I was surprised that this tour was a bit "hidden" when I searched f0r food tours - it definitely wasn't in the first 20 that popped up. I just now learned they are a newer business....and they are FABULOUS. My boyfriend and I booked the Local Tapas Tour with Private Sit-Down Dinner. Prior to the tour I reached out with a couple questions and also to explain that though I spoke some Spanish, it was pretty minimal. Diego, the tour guide, reached out to me over a week in advance to calm my anxiety and answer any questions I had. I mentioned I was not a fan of seafood but was willing to try it, so he ended up tweaking some of the tapas for me! After arriving and being greeted by Diego with a glass of Cava, he told us a bit about himself and the tour. We visited four very different styles of restaurants for a different tapa and drink at each location. We tried tortilla espanola with Albarino wine at a market, then moved to a Michelin nod restaurant for a different wine variety and ham croquettes. We went to a local pub to try Vermout and pinchos (skewered tapa) and ended with a red wine and 3 types of Iberian ham/5types of Manchego cheese. All delicious. The tour didn't feel rushed nor dragged and with the heat the walking was kept to a minimum :) As if that wasn't enough, we ended the evening with a full meal at the Culinary School (where you can take tapas or paella making classes). My boyfriend had the octopus and I had the beef cheeks. Each came with potatoes and two sauces. And all of it - even the octopus - was delicious. Obviously there was more wine (red and white) as well as a delicious cheesecake dessert that was 30% manchego. Even my boyfriend who doesn't like cheese said it was delicious. The food was heavenly and Diego was so down to earth and fun. We kept inviting him to join us for our dinner and drinks because he was a delight to be with. I think of everything we did in Paris-Bourdeaux-Madrid, this tour was THE HIGHLIGHT of our trip!
This wine and tapas tour was one of the highlights of my time in Madrid. From start to finish, it was exceptionally well organised, welcoming, and full of authentic local experiences. The guide Diego was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about Madrid’s food and wine culture. I learned so much about the the traditions behind the tapas, and the different wines we sampled, all while enjoying a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The selection of venues was excellent, ranging from charming local spots to places I would never have discovered on my own. Every tapa was delicious, and each wine was thoughtfully paired, showcasing the incredible variety and quality of Spanish cuisine. What made the experience especially memorable was the balance between great food, fascinating stories and charming venues. It felt authentic rather than touristy, giving a genuine taste of Madrid’s culinary scene. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Madrid, whether you’re a wine enthusiast, a food lover, or simply looking for a fun and memorable way to explore the city. It exceeded my expectations and left me with wonderful memories of Madrid. Five stars without hesitation.
It is a unique experience. Tapas as the locals do, in specially selected places. The final dinner is exceptional, and our guide Diego is a genius who knows about food, drinks, places, and their history. Without a doubt, we will repeat it the next time we are in Madrid!
The title should speak for itself as the experience was really amazing and the crew at the Cooking Clubhouse provided a wonderful time. Diego was our guide and he was extremely accommodating to our busy schedule with timing and made sure we still had the full experience. Diego even sent us a long list of restaurants, night life and other experiences for our next trip. Would highly recommend this activity and any that are hosted by Cooking Clubhouse, they are an awesome crew.
Diego was great. The tapas were fantastic as were the tapa places. Dinner after the tapas was also great. I’d definitely do it again.

Such an incredible experience. I cannot recommend this enough! Our small group had an amazing time and our guide, Diego, was charming, informative, and so fun! It was the perfect activity for our team building and gave the space for our members to get to know each other throughout the night. The food was delicious, the wine was great, and the locations were awesome. We even booked reservations to one of the locations afterwards, we were so impressed!
A tour that beat most things, the evening started with many nice tapas places and ended with a very good dinner. Throughout we had a very nice guide who guided us in most things. We recommend this tour to everyone!
Diego started our tour with a glass of cava, what followed was an insider’s guide to bars and tapas in Madrid. The tour included stops at four different bars and more importantly, four different tapas and beverages. You will get a “local’s” cheat sheet for future forays on your own. The tour concluded with a sit down entree and dessert. The beef cheeks were actually my favorite food item on my trip. This tour is Diego’s baby. He researches his stops and says he adds and subtracts when necessary. The tour is well worth the time and money. Be prepared to make friends because it just 8 people.
