Itinerario
Il tuo tour inizia nella splendida città di Queenstown. Mentre usciamo dalla città, la tua guida non solo preparerà la scena per la tua avventura di oggi, ma ti indicherà e ti guiderà oltre alcune delle principali attrazioni della zona.
Partendo da Queenstown, ci dirigiamo a nord attraverso la splendida gola di Kawarau passando per splendide viste. Il Kawarau Suspension Bridge e il famoso Roaring Meg Lookout. Tempo e luce permettendo ci fermeremo per quel primo grande scatto del tour.
Uscendo dalla gola Kawarau entriamo nella regione frutticola e vinicola di Cromwell. Superando enormi campi di viti, attraversiamo il lago Dunstan e seguiamo questo suggestivo lago verso il Lindis Pass.
Salendo in quota, il Lindis Pass offre una vista mozzafiato sulla valle. Essendo una delle sole tre strade alpine che attraversano le Alpi meridionali altrimenti impraticabili, ci fermiamo al belvedere del Lindis Pass a 971 m sul livello del mare per una foto essenziale.
Mentre guidiamo attraverso le infinite pianure del distretto di Mackenzie, noteremo molte delle celebri pecore Merino prima di fermarci nella pittoresca cittadina di Omarama. Mentre a Omarama abbiamo tempo per una pausa o anche per provare la migliore torta di pollo cremosa in Nuova Zelanda (secondo noi)!
Girando verso ovest iniziamo ad entrare nel Parco Nazionale di Aoraki e il lago Pukaki inizia ad emergere davanti a noi. Il lago Pukaki è uno dei laghi più azzurri che si possano mai vedere e incorniciato splendidamente dallo sfondo di Aoraki/Mt Cook e delle Alpi meridionali. Ci fermiamo per delle foto stupende e per meravigliarci della vista che stiamo contemplando.
Mentre sei nel parco nazionale hai 3 ore (circa) di tempo libero per goderti passeggiate / escursioni gratuite o una delle attività opzionali extra. Alcune delle nostre raccomandazioni includono: - Escursione a Hooker Valley : Questa facile escursione di 3 ore è considerata una delle più belle della Nuova Zelanda! - Voli panoramici (in base alla disponibilità): vedere la regione dall'alto e atterrare sul ghiacciaio Tasmin
Salutando Mt Cook ci dirigiamo verso il Lago Tekapo. Questo lago blu turchese è famoso in tutto il mondo per la sua bellezza incontaminata. Abbiamo poco tempo qui ma abbastanza a lungo per ottenere quelle foto di Instagram, esplorare la Chiesa del Buon Pastore e vedere il cane Mackenzie prima di iniziare a dirigersi verso Christchurch.

We booked a point-to-point transfer tour from Queenstown to Christchurch with an early morning pickup on June 26th, and it was hands-down the best decision we made. Even before the trip started, the customer service was excellent. I was a bit unsure about the arrangements beforehand and sent a few emails, but the reception team responded quickly with full, helpful details every time. Everything for the trip was perfectly well-prepared, and they even sent us a few reminders before the trip to ensure we stayed safe. The driving throughout the journey was incredibly safe. Our morning guide was full of energy despite the long hours on the road, sharing fascinating background stories about New Zealand. What really blew us away was that the guides aren’t just doing this as a job—they genuinely love the NZ landscape and are passionate about their work. They took us to secret, stunning viewpoints that we would have completely missed if we had driven ourselves, allowing us plenty of time for photos without feeling rushed. Their boss even called the lady during our trip to check the traffic, since the road was blocked due to snow the day before. What a detailed and thoughtful arrangement to make sure we could safely enjoy the great journey and views! They were also extremely thoughtful. We were worried about hiking around Mt Cook in just our running shoes, but the guide provided us with ice spikes so we could safely walk on the ice, along with water and snacks. When we reached the next leg, the handoff to their partner was seamless. The lady who took over was very thoughtful and incredibly responsible; she checked that we hadn’t left anything behind and waited patiently with us until the next vehicle arrived. For the final drop-off in Christchurch, the gentleman driver asked each of us for our specific hotels and drove us straight to our doorsteps safely and right on time. This tour gave us an amazing impression of New Zealand and this travel agency. Danny was an amazing tour guide who got us safely through a snow storm on Lindis Pass and kept us well entertained when we were unable to move. We also loved the guide who took us into Christchurch from the salmon farm! His stories were entertaining as well!
The tour guide tried to make this a fun trip and incorporated lots of stops along the way and food. If you need to get one way I recommend this.
