Excellent tour. The sommelier is very good and friendly. I recommend 100% adding lunch as it is an excellent gourmet experience. 100% recommended everything

This was a great tour with Christian who was very knowledgeable about all wines in this winery and region! We had a private which was very personable and enjoyable. Christian had great English and was able to explain all processes to us!

It was incredible from the beginning to end. Christian wasn’t amazing host and taught us so very much about tasting wine, the process and challenges. The cava was gorgeous and the wines and food pairings were wonderful. We never felt at all rushed, and he took all the time necessary to make sure we had a great experience. I always say I’m not a red wine fan, but now I think I’ve been transformed! Bravo!

Lovely personal tour of the facility. Excellent food and wine, thoroughly enjoyed it! You Should know that the transportation to and from the port is not included which will be Another $50-&60 USD.

The journey out of the city meant we saw the agricultural landscape of the area. The hosts were lovely and the guide through the vineyard and production interesting. The tasting and the foods provided were excellent. Highly recommended
Excellent presentation of the winery provided by sommelier Alejandra, who showed us the wine manufacturing process, from planting to bottling. The tasting was very good, with excellent quality wines. One of the best wines we had in Uruguay! Worth the visit!!
Very personable experience. Only 4 of us in the group. They provided a translator to eliminate any language barriers. Most of all, we loved the wine + family run business!
Our guide at Castillo Viejo was so warm, friendly, and most of all, knowledgeable about how to make great wine and what foods to pair it with. She was amazing!
Alejandra and Miguel were exceptional hosts. To be on a tour with the premier winemaker of Uruguay was such a unforgettable experience. Details of vineyard secrets were finally shared with the public and the history of Castillo Viejo now grows wild. It was a once in a lifetime honor to attend this tour. Thank you Alejandra for being a gracious host.
At the entrance, we were welcomed in the winery's garden, which is in front of the experimental vineyard, where we were introduced to several different types of grapes. Alejandra, who welcomed us, explained the grape and wine varieties, showed us how the wines are bottled and where they are aged in the oaks. He also took us to a table where we could feel the different notes that are possible to find in the wine. Finally, we did the tasting in a beautiful room. This is the second winery we visited, but the experience here was much richer than the previous one - I highly recommend it! The driver was recommended by the winery and was also super attentive and waited for the experience to end before taking us back to the hotel.
