Sanssouci era il palazzo estivo di Federico il Grande, re di Prussia, a Potsdam, situato vicino a Berlino. Sanssouci è notevole per i numerosi templi e follie nel parco. Il palazzo fu progettato / costruito da Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff tra il 1745 e il 1747 per soddisfare l'esigenza del re Federico di avere una residenza privata dove potersi rilassare lontano dalla pompa e dalla cerimonia della corte di Berlino.
Il ponte Glienicke è un ponte sul fiume Havel in Germania, che collega il quartiere Wannsee di Berlino con la capitale del Brandeburgo Potsdam. Prende il nome dal vicino Palazzo Glienicke. L'attuale ponte, il quarto sul sito, fu completato nel 1907, sebbene fosse necessaria una grande ricostruzione dopo che fu danneggiato durante la seconda guerra mondiale. La colonia russa Alexandrovka si trova a nord di Potsdam. Il re Federico Guglielmo III di Prussia lo fece costruire nel 1826/27 per gli ultimi dodici cantanti russi di un ex coro di 62 soldati. A causa delle relazioni familiari e amichevoli tra le case Hohenzollern e Romanov, la colonia fu nominata monumento allo zar Alessandro I, morto nel 1825. Come parte del paesaggio culturale di Potsdam, la colonia è patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO.

La chiesa di San Nicola a Potsdam è una chiesa luterana situata sulla Piazza del Mercato Vecchio a Potsdam. L'edificio a pianta centrale in stile classicista e dedicato a San Nicola fu costruito su progetto di Karl Friedrich Schinkel tra il 1830 e il 1837. Il tamburello della chiesa alta 77 metri che domina i tetti della città fu costruito tra il 1843 e il 1850 La sua costruzione è stata fatta da Ludwig Persius e dal 1845, Friedrich August Stüler. Verso la fine della seconda guerra mondiale, la chiesa fu colpita durante il raid aereo britannico su Potsdam e successivamente gravemente danneggiata dal fuoco di artiglieria sovietico. Dopo molti anni di ricostruzione, la chiesa fu riconsacrata nel 1981 dalla Parrocchia evangelica di San Nicola, Potsdam e, oggi, è aperta ai visitatori. Oltre ai normali servizi religiosi, nella chiesa si tengono anche eventi per concerti.

Great tour. Very well organized and executed by Susan and Tomas. Susan (our guide) was very knowledgeable and was with us throughout the tour enhancing our experience.

This trip to the patsdan, we’re very disappointed. the four-hour trip, except about two hours drive. we spent an hour to visit Sanssouci Palace, and passed by Glienicke Bridge, Dutch Quarter, Alexandrowka, Old Market Square, St. Nikolai-Kirchengemeinde. The driver parked the bus, we sat inside the car about 20-30 minutes, and listened to the tour guide introduce these representative buildings. We couldn't see clearly see and couldn’t take pictures, so I think this trip wasted of our time and money.
Good tour. Suzsanna and Mattie were very good and Susanna is very knowledgeable. I think the Sans Souci Palace visit should include a visit to the paintings gallery and there should be a stop off in Potsdam Town to see the Dutch style houses but otherwise a good tour overall.
It was a very good walk. Brigite guide excellent, no delays and we did. panoramic tour of the city.
Unfortunately VC only comes out of Bus to make the visit to Sansoussi Palace, which takes no more than twenty minutes. The other two pavilions that are part of the complex are shown far away in the garden. The city of Potsdam that is beautiful, you only see through the window of Bus. He can barely take pictures of the Dutch neighborhood. If you want to know Potsdam , see the Sunset Golden, the city, and the castle complex, I recommend doing it on your own.
I went on this tour solo on July 9th and had a great time. Tour guide, Susan, was incredible and a wealth of knowledge on large variety of subjects which made the trip extra entertaining. I have done many of these types of tours over the years and I can confidently say that Susan was the best guide I have ever had. Highly recommend!
There is some walking and if you go to the bottom of the garden then there are a lot of steps to climb back up but worthwhile
Our guide Jasmin was extremely dynamic, smiling, and very precise in the information. Very beautiful visit and the transportation is perfect! Very beautiful castle
