Tour di Pisa in autobus

We booked this as just a bus ride to Pisa to explore on our own and nothing more. What we got was all that and more !! We had Johnny as our leader not a guide, but Johnny was awesome. The ride to Pisa was 1 hour and Johnny told of so much history as we drove through it in that time. Johnny walked the entire group from the bus lot to the Pisa walls. From there he gave tips about what to do and how to make the most of our 2 hours. We had 2 hours of free time and it was just about enough. We saw everything, took lots of pics, got souvenirs and even had pizza and beer. We meet Johnny back at the said meeting point and back to the bus as a group. The bonus next was us getting off the motorway to we drove along the coastline seeing some beautiful villages. We then were dropped off for free time of 35 minutes in the beautiful ocean village of Lerici. This was an entire working type seaside village, not made for tourists which really made this a great stop. Was able to go in a couple local shops and have gelato and a focaccia bread in that time while walking along the water. Everything was on time leaving and coming back, left at 10am back at 3:30pm. This was the perfect day !! Also…. Meeting point is in the cruise terminal not outside at the address they put on the site. Enjoy !!!! Ciao Ciao

Greta was an excellent guide with a wealth of information on La Spezia, Sarzana, and Pisa. It was apparent that she is very proud of her home and enjoys sharing it with others. She had to handle a situation with a few families not following directions on meeting at the designated time who then became angry with her that she did not wait. She handled the situation with such grace and professionalism. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and learning a bit more about this beautiful part of Italy.

We enjoyed this tour. The bus was comfortable and Rachel gave us commentary along the ride which was lovely. We had enough time to visit all of the buildings, eat gelato, and do some shopping. There are restaurants, snack bars, gift shops, and souvenir stands in and around the square where you visit. There is also a McDonald’s which has a bathroom you can pay 1 euro to use but there is generally a long line. On the way back to the cruise port we did a drive thru tour of another small town which was lovely also. There is a lot of walking from the bus to the square unfortunately because the buses are not allowed to park nearby. At least a ten minute walk each way.

Very good tour with our guide Julia. For inexperienced Viator users like us, you MUST look at your ticket DETAILS to find out who is providing the tour so you don't waste time wondering the "who and where". Once that got figured out, we had a good tour experience, especially at the last stop, amrhe beautiful town of Lerici...wish we had at least 75 minutes there.

As already the day before (Florence) again impeccable experience with Alessandro and driver Marco. Alesssandro is not only polyglot but also has a good sense of humour

I was staying in La Spezia, Italy but was joining a cruise ship tour. Due to bad weather the cruise ship did not come into port. I was left standing outside a locked cruise ship terminal waiting. No one advised me that the trip was cancelled. Trip Advisor had my cell number and a call would have been appreciated, after all the ship could have just been late! On the positive side, my money was refunded promptly, after I requested it.

Nice easy day in Pisa, no train changes worries. Ambra, our tour guide, did a very good job of showing us the sights with good explanations in three languages. Very glad I decided for this tour.

The guide we had was a local and very knowledgeable of any questions we had. What a great tour for half of the price our ship was offering.

It started with the tour being postponed 30 minutes which you could have announced well in advance. When the bus finally arrived, it was in such a hurry on the bus that the guide in that bus did not check the ticket even though I showed it on the phone. We were 6 people. This meant that the bus had to turn around and drive us back. In the experience it was stated that the tour would pass the Cinque Terre which was not done. When we arrived we were directed to a place the group would reunite. No guided tour was included in Pisa. On the return trip we passed something you compared to Miami beach. Completely uninteresting and was nothing described in the tour. For me and my 5 friends it just felt like a transport which we could have done with trains that had become significantly cheaper. We could then also have spent more time in Pisa and got more out of this trip.
