Perugia è la città delle vedute rovesciate: per salire in città devi scendere addentrarti nei sotterranei del colle, devi essere sempre in movimento per cogliere il meglio di ogni angolo, non troverai mai un punto fermo dal quale avere una panoramica di tutto l’insieme … ma poi la città si svela dolce … come un bacio di cioccolato e nocciola.

Itinerario
Cominceremo da Piazza Italia per scendere nella Rocca Paolina, un intero quartiere sotterraneo interrato per volontà papale che ci trasporterà avanti e indietro nel tempo, dagli etruschi a Garibaldi e La Belle Epoque. Vedremo la Porta Marzia, antico ingresso Sud alla città etrusca con iscrizioni rimane e stemma papale.
Poi proseguiremo per il salottino della città, il Corso Vannucci, dedicato al Perugino, pittore il cui capolavoro (il Collegio del Cambio) rimane un unicum in tutta Italia: si tratta di una banca del 1500 completamente affrescata dall’artista. Nel Corso si alternano le terrazze dei bar, le vetrine dei bei negozi di abbigliamento e quelle dei prodotti tipici.
Arriveremo in Piazza IV Novembre dove domina orgogliosa la Fontana Maggiore, un compendio di saggezza popolare del XIII secolo, accanto alla Cattedrale di San Lorenzo, il Palazzo dei Priori e il Palazzo dei Notari. Nella Piazza si gioca con le “vedute ad angolo”, gireremo intorno ad essa per scattare delle foto sorprendenti
Finiremo nel belvedere di Porta Sole e qui vedremo un’altra particolarità di Perugia e cioè come città è incastonata nel paesaggio di morbide colline verdi tappezzate da uliveti argentei.

The was exactly as described in the ad no more and no less. Our guide Simone was knowledgeable and her English was excellent. She is very business like and direct. The tour started a little late but ended on time. We learned a lot about Perugia.

Perugia is a fascinating city, with a very long and fascinating history. Our guide, Isabella was outstanding. She is very knowledgeable, charming, and excellent at answering all of our questions. I would not hesitate to have her as a guide on a future trip to Umbria.
The beautiful and erudite Mrs. Begonia took us around the city illustrating the history of the uses and customs of Perugia, with interesting observations on the structural and urban changes of a city rich in female entrepreneurship art. From fashionable Etruscan history to cooking and lifestyles , in two hours a full immersion full of interesting anecdotes told in a nice and passionate way .
