Itinerario
Il tour inizia con un prelievo mattutino dal tuo hotel di Udaipur, seguito da un viaggio in auto a Eklingji, situato a circa 20 km dalla città.
All'arrivo al Tempio di Eklingji, trascorri alcune ore esplorando il rinomato complesso templare. Il Tempio di Eklingji è un complesso di templi indù a Kailashpuri, Udaipur, Rajasthan, ed è il Kula Devata della dinastia Mewar. Originariamente costruito da Bappa Rawal nell'VIII secolo, il tempio fu distrutto dalle invasioni del Sultanato di Delhi. Nel XIV secolo, Hamir Singh rinnovò il tempio e installò il primo idolo esistente. Rana Kumbha lo ricostruì nel XV secolo, aggiungendo un tempio Vishnu. Dopo un attacco di Ghiyath Shah alla fine del XV secolo, Rana Raimal ricostruì il tempio usando il riscatto di Ghiyath Shah. Inizialmente appartenente alla setta Pashupata, passò successivamente sotto il controllo della setta Nath nel XVI secolo. Dopo il completamento del tour di Eklingji, procederete verso Nagda.
I Templi Sahasra Bahu (chiamati anche Templi Sasbahu) a Nagda, Rajasthan, sono una coppia di templi indù del X secolo dedicati a Virabhadra. Condividono una piattaforma, con il tempio più grande circondato da dieci santuari sussidiari e il più piccolo da quattro. I templi mostrano l'architettura Māru-Gurjara, con un santuario, mandapa, portico aperto e shikhara in mattoni. Salim was an excellent tour guide and considerate and safe driver. He took me to numerous sites in the beautiful countryside north of Udiapur. Places which would have been difficult to visit on public transport. He was very knowledgeable and provided excellent English descriptions of the historical, cultural and religious significance of the sites of Eklingji and Nagda. It was a morning well spent and I highly recommend this tour.

Our driver was SALIM. He did an excellent job of communicating the night before and was on time to pick us up and took us to all the places that we were scheduled to go and showed us a few extra things as well. We enjoyed talking with him and his English was very good. Very smooth and easy experience.

The tour with Salim is a fantastic way to spend your time in Udaipur. Salim took us to magical spots off the beaten path. When we asked if we could stop for lunch, he took us to a great little restaurant that we never would have found on our own—cheap and delicious. I highly recommend visiting these two temples. Mr. Sajid was a kind and helpful driver, giving some historical information along the way. He even took us to a few other nice places that were well worth visiting and weren’t even part of the tour.

I took this tour a few days ago and it was wonderful. I recommend the took took just for the fun scenery, but it’s a lot of highway driving so the car would also be a great option. We visited several temples, many of which had no tourist and were wide open to explore and take pictures absolutely beautiful highly recommend.

Salim was an excellent tour guide, he took me via the backroads through a picturesque farming village to both temples. A true taste of India and a stunning tour that should not be missed. I felt safe and was treated to an extra by way of a beautiful garden with all the history carefully explained by Salim. Well worth it!
