Non appena incontrerai la tua guida all'uscita della stazione della metropolitana di Icharishahar, entreremo nella città vecchia di Baku, chiamata "Icharishahar". Old Town of Baku è un bellissimo labirinto, pieno di strade strette, viste sorprendenti, vecchi balconi in legno, strade in pietra e un'atmosfera che non dimenticherai mai. Una scoperta di per sé, ogni volta che visiti questa parte della città. La tua guida ti racconterà storie di gente del posto sulla città vecchia e su come è stata modificata e sviluppata nel corso della storia.
Il Museo dei libri in miniatura era nel Guinness dei primati fino a poco tempo fa, ma ha ancora una grande collezione di libri in miniatura e persino quasi microscopici. Un piccolo museo che sarà la nostra prima tappa per scoprire di più! Tieni presente che il lunedì questo museo è chiuso.
Successivamente, entra nel Palazzo degli Shirvanshah, la parte centrale dell'antico regno di Shiranshah e immergiti nello spirito della civiltà islamica mentre attraversi il cortile e le stanze private del re. Conoscere la storia del palazzo e visitare i mausolei che hanno visto molti guai negli ultimi due secoli.
Il secondo posto che visiteremo è il monumento più notevole e misterioso: la Maiden Tower, costruita nella parte sud-orientale del centro storico. Una volta che ti immergi nell'esperienza di scoprire un edificio così straordinario, saprai perché è considerato il simbolo di Baku.
Prima di dirigerci a Baku Boulevard, avremo un'ora di pausa per il pranzo, così potrai riposarti, ma anche gustare piatti nazionali realizzati dal popolo dell'Azerbaigian. The old town of Baku has a fascinating history and our guide Jamal was exceptionally well versed in every aspect of the history! We saw so much and learned so much from Jamal about the people and the history of the multiple cultures.

Great tour, covering alot of historical and modern sites. Riad was very knowledgeable on Baku's history and a great guide. Definitely worth doing to get orientated with the city and make sure you haven't missed the important sites, especially if you're short on time. Lunch was also delicious. Highly recommend!
I had a private tour. My guide, Mirhashim was excellent. He was friendly & very informative on Azerbaijan history. We had a lovely day for a walk in the Old Town. As a mature age solo traveller, he really looked after me. Mirhashim was considerate of the pace, and was passionate about his role. He showed me the major sights and kept my interest with his informative style. I was particularly impressed by his consideration. We stopped for breaks and he helped me to navigate the big steps in the Palace complex. Later in the day when it got cold & windy he lent me his coat, and supported me when the wind nearly blew me away! He was flexible with the itinerary and we saw everything. He got me home via taxi, so I didn’t get wet. He had the right balance of information and care for his audience. He is an asset that your organisation.
We saw the best of Baku under the very capable direction of our tour guide. Our guide knew the history and location of everything, and he was amazingly attentive and helpful. In addition, we had an authentic lunch in a gem of a restaurant, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, I highly recommend this tour as a great way to see the sights and fill a memorable day in this wonderful city.

He knew all the history of his country, had excellent English and really knew all I wanted to know about Baku, Azerbaijan and history. Had a great tour exploring the beautiful city of Baku with Riad as my guide. He did a great job bringing history and current details of Azerbaijan culture to life. Baku is a nice city to walk in, and I especially enjoyed the area reached by funicular. Tour is a good length, allowing time to do other things later in the day.
