Al Khor è una città costiera nel nord del Qatar, situata a 50 chilometri a nord della capitale, Doha. Considerata una delle più grandi città del Qatar. Al Khor ospita molti dipendenti dell'industria petrolifera per la sua vicinanza ai giacimenti di petrolio e gas naturale del Qatar e alla città industriale di Ras Laffan. È uno dei luoghi proposti per la Coppa del Mondo del Qatar 2022.
L'isola viola, nota anche come isola di Al Khor, è un posto bellissimo ad Al Khor, a circa un'ora di auto da Doha. È una piccola isola, collegata alla terraferma da uno stretto sentiero che si spezza in più punti per permettere all'acqua di defluire verso la foresta di mangrovie.
Al Thakhira è una città sulla costa del comune di Al Khor in Qatar, a circa 7 chilometri (4,3 miglia) a nord-est della città di Al Khor City e 60 chilometri (37 miglia) dalla capitale Doha. È strettamente affiliata con Al Khor City, essendo entrambi fondati dalla tribù Al Muhannadi. Come altri insediamenti costieri della zona, i suoi abitanti facevano storicamente affidamento esclusivamente alla ricerca di perle e alla ricerca di sostentamento
Al Zubara anche conosciuta come Fort Zubara (h) è una storica fortezza militare del Qatar costruita sotto la supervisione dello sceicco Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani nel 1938.

It's a great time to see the real side of the country.
Excellent trip. Our driver and tour guide Junaidd was courteous and respectful. I was travelling with my elderly Mother and niece and he was very helpful and knowledgeable about the sites we visited. Enjoyed this experience immensely and would highly recommend! Thank you Junaidd!
Great trip to see Qatar! Javid took us to three sites ( a fishing area/market for processing fresh fish, a mangrove swamp and purple island and then the Al Zubarah fortress replica) . This provides a fairly thorough coverage of the key attractions of Qatar that are not in Doha. He also provided us with chilled water bottles during the trip and took great pictures of us at different locations!

Great North Qatar tour, visiting the fish market, mangroves and the old fort. Junaidd was a brilliant guide, punctual, informative and very cheerful. Recommended.
Our guide Junaid was great, we got to know much more about Qatar and its life and history. Tour itself was also nice, with Mangrove forest as a highlight. Rest of the places (fish market and fortress) were nothing that special but stilll worth to visit if you are already here.
We had an outstanding experience going with this tour. Our guide/driver Junaid was friendly, punctual, and very knowledgeable on the culture and history of Qatar. The selection of sights of interest was also great to fit in half a day.
