Il monumento all'indipendenza a Phnom Penh, capitale della Cambogia, fu costruito nel 1958 per commemorare l'indipendenza della Cambogia dalla Francia nel 1953. Si trova all'incrocio tra Norodom Boulevard e Sihanouk Boulevard nel centro della città.
Il Palazzo Reale, a Phnom Penh, in Cambogia, è un complesso di edifici che funge da residenza reale del re di Cambogia. Il suo nome completo in lingua khmer è Preah Barum Reachea Veang Chaktomuk Serei Mongkol.
Wat Phnom è un tempio buddista situato a Phnom Penh, in Cambogia. Fu costruito nel 1372 e si trova a 27 metri dal suolo. È la struttura religiosa più alta della città. Alla pagoda venne dato il nome di Wat Preah Chedey Borapaut. Wat Phnom è il punto centrale di Phnom Penh.
La Pagoda d'argento si trova sul lato sud del Palazzo Reale, Phnom Penh. Il nome ufficiale è Wat Ubaosoth Ratanaram noto come Wat Preah Keo Morakot che è comunemente abbreviato in Wat Preah Keo in Khmer. Il vihara ospita molti tesori nazionali tra cui molte statue d'oro e ingioiellate di Buddha.
Il mercato centrale, è un grande mercato costruito nel 1937 a forma di cupola con quattro bracci che si diramano in ampi corridoi con innumerevoli bancarelle di merci. Iniziale disegnato da Jean Desbois. I lavori di costruzione furono supervisionati dall'architetto francese Louis Chauchon e dall'ingenue Wladimir Kandaouroff.
I Killing Fields sono numerosi siti in Cambogia dove collettivamente più di un milione di persone sono state uccise e sepolte dal regime dei Khmer Rossi durante il suo governo del paese dal 1975 al 1979, immediatamente dopo la fine della guerra civile cambogiana.
Il Museo del genocidio di Tuol Sleng è un museo a Phnom Penh, la capitale della Cambogia, che racconta il genocidio cambogiano. Il sito è una ex scuola secondaria che fu usata come Prigione di Sicurezza 21 dal regime dei Khmer Rossi dalla sua ascesa al potere nel 1975 alla sua caduta nel 1979.

I had a great time on the Half-Day Phnom Penh City Tour and would absolutely recommend it. My tour guide, Kakada, was fantastic. His English was excellent, he had a great sense of humor, and he was genuinely friendly and easy to talk to. He made the tour both informative and enjoyable, and did a great job explaining Cambodia’s culture as well as its complicated and emotional history. The driver was also great, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The only constructive feedback I’d share is about the tour information itself, and this isn’t a reflection on my guide at all. It wasn’t totally clear in the description that you’re supposed to choose between a cultural-themed tour or a genocide-themed tour, since the itinerary seems to list all sites together but in other places it says you need to choose between the two option. That said, Kakada was very flexible and let me choose a mix of both, and I was able to pick four attractions, which worked out perfectly. There was also a small pickup confusion. The Viator listing said there were only two pickup points, so I took a Grab to one of the hotels, but later found out hotel pickup and drop-off was actually possible. Again, not a big deal, and more of a clarity issue on the tour company’s side than anything else. Overall, this was a really informative and enjoyable tour. Kakada and the driver did an excellent job showing me Phnom Penh, its culture, and its history. Highly recommended!
