Thanks a lot for your review. We enjoyed organizing Kazbegi Tour for you. Thanks again. Hope to see you again soon.
The trip to Kazbegi is a must-do for anyone in Georgia, and I highly recommend this one with Select Georgia tours. We saw the Ananuri Castle Complex, the Gergeti Trinity Church, and hiked to the Gveleti waterfall. We also saw a few hidden gems including ancient fire towers, an artist carving faces onto massive stones, and a monastery overlooking the Russian border. Our tour guide spoke excellent English, and was well versed in the history of the country and the individual sites we visited. As it was a private tour, we asked him a ton of questions about the area, and learned a few words of Georgian. He was patient with us as we explored each site, took pictures, and went at our pace on the hike to the waterfall. Rather than lunch at a restaurant, we ate at a home that had been turned into a B&B. We had a family-style meal with the entire room to ourselves and incredible view of the mountains in front of us. I'm a vegetarian and they had prepared numerous vegetable dishes so that I had a variety of traditional foods to try - all of it was delicious.
Thanks a lot for your detailed review of Kazbegi Tour. Your honest feedback means a lot for us. Thank you.
After having a terrible experience 2 days prior, Georgi restored our faith in Georgian tour guides. He is a true professional who takes pride in his country. He is very knowledgable about all things Georgia, and his English is very good as well. This is a true private tour where we could stop anywhere we wanted if desired. Play in the snow? Sure. Need a water closet or buy something from a roadside stand? No problem. We chose this tour out of what seemed like hundreds of options because it seemed the most unique and everything was covered. The vehicle had wifi, water was provided, and the 4x4 transportation to the Gergeti Trinity Church was covered. Some other unique things included visiting several hidden gems that it didn't seem like other tours had, such as carved stone literary and religious figures by a local artist, watch towers, and mineral deposits. Georgi spent much time during the Covid-19 pandemic to develop these unique itineraries and it shows. Not all tours included a hike either, but this one will take you to not one, but two gorgeous waterfalls. We aren't really in shape, and had our 7-year old daughter with us, but were able to complete the hike just fine, so don't be afraid of a little nature. Our hike was followed by a great surprise for lunch. While we had assumed Georgi would take us to a typical restaurant, he took us to a local guest house where a private, home-cooked spread of Georgian food awaited us. In addition, a local also taught us how to make khinkali (Georgian dumplings). No other tours I saw offered this and it was absolutely worth it. Maximize your time in Georgia and take this tour, or any others offered by SelectGeorgia-For Holiday. Pickup was at 8am, make sure to eat beforehand and/or bring snacks. We arrived back at our hotel around 8pm.

My friend and I just got back from a four day trip to Georgia, and visited all of the beautiful sites that the country has to offer, one of which we loved was our tour to Kazbegi. We saw so many things on this full day tour including the beautiful Ananuri Castle Complex and Dariali Monastery Complex, we tasted the water from the Sulphur Waters near Jvari Pass, we stopped by the Panorama of Gudauri for breathtaking views and finally, the highlight was hiking up to see the Gveleti Waterfall. We had a great time with Giorgi or Select Georgia and could not have asked for a better tour! Thank you Select Georgia!

Great day trip to drive outside of the city and see the monasteries, Gudauri, where you can also plan to hang glide but bring cash with you, and also do a hike to 2 waterfalls in Gveleti. This is a full day tour from Tbilisi and we were able to hit all the spots we wanted to see.

This was an amazing day trip from Tbilisi. Giorgi is an excellent tour guide; he's really careful to make sure you see everything there is to see in the area. I can't think of a better way to see this remote, tough to reach part of Georgia. I would definitely recommend this tour to all my friends. Giorgi is also a great, careful driver and even helped translate when we met a local priest at a church that doesn't get many tourists.
Thanks a lot for your kind words. We have enjoyed organizing Tour to Kazbegi for you and for your friends. Hope to see you again soon. Thanks a lot for the review.
This day trip was the highlight of my time in Georgia. Giorgi is a fantastic guide and quite knowledgable about the history of the region and Georgian history more generally. Visited some beautiful churches, was inspired by some sweeping mountain views, and even got a bit of hiking in. The drive to the region from Tbilisi is quite difficult, so you are much better off hiring a guide (hopefully Giorgi!) to transport you there rather than attempting the drive yourself.
Thanks a lot for your review and feedback. We have enjoyed organizing Tour to Kazbegi for you. Hope to see you again soon.
I can highly recommend to book a tour with select Georgia. Everything was just perfect. Giorgi speaks perfectly English, knows everything about culture, the nature and Georgia. He is a really good driver and he creates and enjoyable environment. It was a perfect day and I am glad I booked the tour. And the mountains in the winter, covered by snow is just something you have to experience on your own. I am a female solo traveler and every second I felt perfectly safe and well. I can highly recommend select Georgia for female travelers, too.
