A good day and a good tour, but, a long way to go there and back in one day. Next time would probably make it a combined two or theee night tour to Kakadu, Litchfield and Katherine all together, to cut down on the back and for the hours in the bus. Tour itself was great with a good and helpful guide / driver - Ajay
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed the tour and that Ajay provided great service throughout the day. We appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you on another adventure in the future. Kind Regards, AAT Kings Team.
It was a very lovely day, long but worth it. Loved the boat trip, would have been nice to do the two George’s. But fully understand the damage the cyclone did only months before. Lunch was amazing. But we loved pulling into Adelaide river pub on the way home. Best meal and a lovely atmosphere. Well worth the money and the long day.
Dear Leanne, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're so pleased to hear you found the experience rewarding and that the cruise, dining, and return stop were memorable highlights. We also appreciate your understanding of the recent cyclone's impact on the region. We hope to welcome you on another tour in the future. Kind Regards, AAT Kings team.
Didn't start well as pick up never arrived as scheduled. After waiting 20 minutes beyond pick up time (6am) I had to contact operator to find out where the bus was. Was told sorry been delayed will be there in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later still no bus so had to call again. Bus eventually arrived 1hr late only for the driver to tell us the original bus was faulty so had to wait for replacement. This was understandable but total lack of communication and truthful information from operator. After finally getting on our way the trip itself was enjoyable. Lunch was included but this was not good. 2 members of our group have food allergies and was just advised you can't have this and that but no alternative was offered just make do with whatsoever else was available. Although we did enjoy the boat ride around the gorge, it was a very long day and don't think it is worth the cost.
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the delayed pick-up on the day of your tour. Unfortunately, an unexpected mechanical issue with the original coach required us to source a replacement vehicle before departure. While guest safety must always be our highest priority, we acknowledge that our communication regarding the delay could have been clearer and more accurate, and we are sorry for the frustration this caused. Despite the delayed departure, we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the tour itself and the boat cruise through the gorge. Our operations team worked hard to ensure that no scheduled sightseeing or experiences were missed, although we understand that the later return made for a longer day than anticipated. We are also sorry to learn that the lunch arrangements did not adequately cater to members of your group with dietary requirements. We have shared your feedback with our catering partner to review their processes and ensure guests with dietary restrictions are provided with suitable alternatives whenever possible. Thank you again for your comments. Feedback such as yours helps us identify areas where we can improve both our communication and guest experience, and we appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention.
Hat and insect repellant are a must. Neck pillow for comfort while in the bus. It's long day bus trip. No swimming was allowed due to crocodile was seen previously.
An enjoyable day trip to Katherine, Adelaide River and Edith Falls, in a comfortable coach with a friendly and knowledgeable guide.
Lovely scenery at both Edith Falls and Katherine Gorge. A very long day on the bus, but you have to expect that in the outback.
Long day but well worth it. 6am pick up and home drop off 9pm. Plenty of water supplied by bus and Katherine Gorge tour but bring your own bottle to refill. Buy your own m/tea at Adelaide River, buffet lunch supplied, and buy your own dinner on way home at Adelaide River Inn. Our bus driver/tour guide "TJay" was awesome. Our Katherine Gorge tour guide Jamie was awesome too. Swim at Edith Falls was great and refreshing.
The bus was 15 minutes late. We waited at the bus stop at 6am because we were told we had to be there 10 minutes before pickup at 6.30am. The bus ride to the area was quite long so stopping at the Adelaide River to purchase some snacks was great. The cruise along the gorge was breathtaking and very educational. Holly the tour guide was excellent in providing a lot of information on the various sites. However, the stops on the way back could be reconsidered. We stopped at the Art Gallery and had lunch there which was nice. The ride to the Edith Gorge was quite long and to be honest, there was not much to see and not a great place to go for a swim. There were areas along the Katherine Gorge where people could swim if they want to (saw some swimming there on the day). I think the Edith Gorge should be left out of this tour completely or be a brief stop on the way over. After the Edith Falls, we stopped at the Adelaide River again for a few minutes before heading back to town. By the time we got back it was after 7.30pm. It cost us close to $700 and we spent most of the tour on the bus. I think one stop on the way over and one long stop or two short stops on the way back would be better reducing the tour to maybe half a day rather than a full day and at a less price.
We knew it would be a long day, but well worth it. Mel was a wonderful guide , and gave us a lot of interesting information on the coach. The stop at Edith Falls for a fabulous swim was great, then of course the gorge was spectacular. We stopped off at a good outback pub for dinner on the way back, so with all the breaks, it was a comfortable trip . Would recommend this trip
High quality tour - coach bus, cruise is excellent, very quick swim in the falls. The tour guide was also excellent. However, you should ask yourself if 2.5 hours of content (cruise and swim) is worth a 14 hour day. I wish we just rented a car and drove to the Katherine area for a couple nights so we could hike and see more.
