What a great introduction to Darwin! I did this within a few hours of landing, and it was the perfect way to learn about the city. So much food at all 3 restaurants and all excellent. I went back to one, but sadly ran out of time to revisit the other two. The street art component was fascinating, too. Yvonne was a great, enthusiastic host. If you can, I'd recommend going towards the start of your visit, so you can pick her/the guide's brain on what to do, try, and eat in Darwin.
Thank you so much, we really appreciate your review. And we'll be sure to pass your kudos along to Yvonne.
Went on the tour with John, great host for the night. We went to 3 restaurants sampled various foods including croc, seafood and Vietnamese. The share plates were enough food for us all and the restaurants were all great. In the middle did a tour of the amazing street art around the lanes of Darwin. A great experience which is recommended to do .
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review, Richard and I really appreciate it. Safe travels.
Johnno, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and it was great seeing all the interactive street art. The 3 restaurants we went to were all superb. So much food, we couldn't finish it all! Highly recommend this tour if you love to eat and love some funky artwork.
Thank you so much for your review. And we'll be sure to let Johnno know you were happy with the tour. That's no surprise, though... Johnno's one of our best guides!
Great variety of food Artwork was really interesting and would not have known about it without the tour The Tour guide Katerina was very knowledgeable about Darwin itself and also its local cuisine
Thank you so much for your review. Katrina is new with us and I know she'll be delighted, as this is her first 5-star review. Safe travels!
An excellent tour that takes you through downtown Darwin matched with excellent food. During the tour we were shown other great places to eat and visit. Visits to some art galleries and viewing the magnificent street art. Would definitely recommend.
Thank you for your review, we really appreciate it--and we're so glad you had a wonderful experience. I'll be sure to let your guide Chris know how much you enjoyed it.
John, our tour guide, made the tour. Friendly, upbeat, he had great stories to tell while tasting new foods and viewing great street art.
Thank you so much for your review, we appreciate it. We're glad you enjoyed the tour--and we'll be sure to send your kudos Johnno's way.
We had a small group of six plus guide, Chris. The small group was fun and the guide incredibly knowledgeable. The food presented was amazing and a diverse selection of local produce. We recommended the tour to lots of fellow travellers as we went through to Adelaide. Highly recommend!
Thank you so much for your review, it's much appreciated. And I'll be sure to let Chris know about your experience. Agreed, she's a star.
Our guide seemed oblivious to the fact that the sun was going down, making it difficult to enjoy the murals. And we didn’t get much explanation about food, how the ingredients were sourced, what the ingredients were.
Thank you for being a repeat customer, as it seems you've booked a tour with us before. Thank you for your comments also, they'll help us to make improvements. BTW, this is the first time we've received such a review without thoughts on the quality and variety of the food. We're guessing you loved that part!
Interesting introduction to multi-cultural Darwin, with tastings of Korean and Chinese food, and a visit to a popular local fish restaurant, with tastings of the celebrated Baramundi fish, crocodile, and an extremely tasty banana dish. Guide had great local knowledge.
Thank you, we're so glad you enjoyed your tour!
As a birthday treat I booked this tour for my friend. We were a party of 3 joined by a lovely couple from America. Our guide was the owner of the company. It covered 3 restaurants and minimal walking. The tour part which covered the street murals was very interesting. Unfortunately each restaurant, with wonderful food, was like having 3 full meals in 3 hours. Too much food. A glass of wine at the first restaurant was complimentary but all other wine was at your own expense. In our minds, for the price, a little less food and a glass of wine at all stops. The commentary was quite interesting.
Thank you for your review, I'm so glad you enjoyed the tour. You're right, it can be tricky ordering just the right amount of food for any given group. We certainly never under-feed our guests! And whenever there are leftovers, we take most of them home to snack on later. But over the years I've realised that different guests can have different views on the same tour. For example, you mentioned an American couple on your tour. Did you notice that the man enthusiastically ate everything we placed in front of him, while others on the tour ate far less? And in terms of the group, at the end, did you notice that everyone polished off their desserts? Seems they all had room.
