Loved Bursa ! The tour guide , Nuri , was great . He was knowledgeable and helpful. He went above and beyond at times - he Offered his sunglasses to me for the quad ride . Without the glasses I wouldn’t have managed to drive the quad . Nuri deserves 5 stars regardless of how the tour went ! I took the gold ticket that included the chair lift - which was worth it. The cable car ride down was fun. Had to wait extra 15 min for the bus to reach the bottom as cable car was faster than the bus. One thing that I noticed about this tour was that it included a lot of stops at shops ( baklava ,Turkish delight , soaps , jams , cosmetics , honey ) we ended up buying a lot of things .

Minibus broke down part way up the mountain. Trip was cut short and did not go to Osman and Orhan Tombs as per inclusions. Ferry was not provided to the destination. More time spent in a cramped mini bus which was not appropriate for a long trip like this. Other operators provided a larger bus. More than 3/4 day spent in driving to sales offices. Lunch was very late, substandard, cold with inedible fatty meat. No soft drink or water provided as mentioned in the ads. Cost of 4,000 TL for ATV was not advised up front and sprung on us.

The whole tour is a sham. You do not see anything; all the time is spent taking you to predetermined shopping places where everything costs 200% more than in the rest of Turkey. They do not give you time to see things and tell you they are taking you to an ancient Hamman, but it is a trap. It is better to try to go on your own... you pay some money and do not see anything.

Wasn't explained when I joined tour it would be in English and another language, which isn't a problem, I just thought it was the wrong tour because I didn't understand anything for the first 5 minutes. Too much shopping, the first and only stop on the itinerary was quoted on arrival as 30 minutes, we were there 90. Not enough historical information on the Green Mosque or burial sites. Instead of directing us direct to the Mosque, we were ushered into a historical hamam, but it was just another shopping ploy. Barely had time to visit the sites! Lunch is late afternoon, then another stop at shopping. There was no mention of an optional cost ATV activity, it was fun. But too long taking pictures at the small waterfall. The agency asked me to change dates to avoid traffic, but we sat in traffic for hours and then I couldn't get dropped off where I was picked up due to known road closures.

It was extremely cold, a little heads up would have been helpful to wear warm clothes. We didn't enjoy the trip very much and a few things were canceled because the weather wasn't very helpful. Historical and cultural information provided by the guide was minimal, and it felt more like a shopping tour as we made several stops at famous local shops. Overall, it was nice but didn't meet our expectations.
