Non c'è dubbio che non dovresti lasciare la Grecia settentrionale senza visitare il sito archeologico di Vergina, uno dei più importanti della Grecia, dove puoi vedere le tombe reali e ammirare i reperti d'oro famosi in tutto il mondo. Durante la giornata attraverseremo la bellissima Macedonia, che è chiamata il "Giardino d'Europa" e visiteremo alcuni dei luoghi più interessanti della storia antica greca seguendo le tracce lasciate da Alessandro Magno. Visiteremo anche Pella, l'antica capitale della Macedonia e la città natale di Alessandro Magno, e vedrai i reperti del museo e il sito archeologico con i meravigliosi mosaici.

A Pella, antica capitale dell'Impero Macedone e città natale di Alessandro Magno, vedremo il sito archeologico con l'ampio scavo macedone contenente un'eccellente collezione di marmi, mosaici e statuette in terracotta qui rinvenute.
A Vergina, visiterai i resti più importanti del palazzo monumentale del Regno di Macedonia, riccamente decorato con mosaici e stucchi dipinti, e il cimitero con più di 300 tumuli, alcuni dei quali risalgono all'XI secolo a.C. Una delle tombe reali è identificata con quella di Filippo II, che conquistò tutte le città greche, aprendo la strada al figlio Alessandro Magno e all'espansione del mondo ellenistico
Pella fu la prima capitale dello stato macedone tra la fine del V e l'inizio del IV secolo a.C., nonché il luogo di nascita di Alessandro Magno. Visiteremo alcuni dei luoghi più interessanti della storia antica della Grecia.

Exceptional experience and worth the money. Took around 7hrs but it went in so fast. I would recommend both the driver and the guide! If you’re going to do this excursion and go all the way up there from Thessaloniki then do it with the guide!

Our guide was terrific! It was a little pricey, but so worth it! I couldn’t believe everything we were able to see and do. The highlight was seeing the tombs and all that they recovered from them . Definitely take this trip!

Our guide wondered why we had chosen this particular tour. We were trying to follow the history of Alexander the Great. It was a long day of driving but we were especially rewarded in Vergina. Here were discovered four tombs-two never ransacked. Buried deep underground, was the intact tomb of Phillip II, father of Alexander the Great. The treasures buried with him were countless and beautiful. Though much is known about Alexander, his burial site has never been identified. Thus, this site remains extraordinary.
