I completed the lang tang valley tour with Magical Nepal, I was very impressed by the company, their receptivity and professionalism. They were very supportive and informative the whole process. From airport pick up to the the actual trek, very seamless process. I really valued their kindness and would book with them again in a heartbeat the next time I want to go trekking in this beautiful country. My guide Subash was amazing, it ended up being a solo trek as I hiked in monsoon with no other people signed up. We were so lucky with the views and the whole trek was incredible, partly because of the stunning nature, partly because of his amazing presence as a guide. He is young but very wise for his age and knew so much about the local culture and often shared many insights, stories and information very openly the whole trek. If you book with Magical Nepal I would highly recommend him personally as he had such a fun time. He made me feel very safe the whole trek and was very receptive to my needs the whole time. We shared many jokes, cultural exchanges, and beautiful moments together in the breathtaking mountains of Langtang. Thank you so much Subash and Magical Nepal for a once in a lifetime experience! I will be back very soon 🙏🏼
Wonderful trip. The weather cooperated and I had a great guide
This company is excellent and chrystal clear. We had a really good time with Saroz (guide) and Dharmendra (porter). Lovely people and great company. Everything was perfectly organized, the stays and meals in the teahouses, the time schedule, all best choices. But beside that we had nice talks and learned a lot about Nepalese culture and religions. They were very patient and found the right pace four our small group in every situation, always with a smile. The weather was really good, just one short moment of light rain during daytime and on Kyangjin Ri (4790m) even snow, which was beautiful. A real magical experience. Highly recommended!
The Langtang Tour was totally magic. Beautiful nature, many animals like goats, donkeys, yaks and birds. Very clean and compfortable rooms (Lama Hotel, Marigold and Compfort Hotel), good food (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The Top of Mountain Kyanjin Ri was also great. But the best thing on this track was our Guide Sagar Gurung. We had so much luck to get him as guide. He cares for everything, is always on time, cares for the savety of all members and also speaks german very well. Best guy for us. It could not have been better. Choose Magical Nepal and Sagar as a Guide and you will be absolute happy to be on this Track.
A great tour with an excellent guide Sagar Gurung👍er explained a lot to us and supervised us excellently, he even speaks good German. There were not too many people on the road, was pleasant. The quarters were surprisingly very good, friendly hospitality and the food was good.highly recommended.
The Trek was the perfect way to get in to Himalyain Mountains. Our Guide Sagar Gurung was the best Guide we could have for this Trek. We are from Austria, and his German is the best what we could imagine. Also the Organisation and the Briefing from the Company Magical Nepal was a 10 out of 10. And we recommend you to take Sagar Gurung as a Guide. That was the best 8 days we could have spent in Nepal. So exciting and funny. Sagar was the best. Greets Christoph
Our trek with Shikhar was honestly perfect! I had never done a guided trek before and was not sure what to expect. I was very impressed by our experience. We wanted to add an extra day to summit Tserko Ri, which was easy to arrange with Magical Nepal. Then, Shikhar picked us up from our hotel and handled literally everything well. He dealt with transportation, accommodation, meals, getting us our rented gear (poles, sleeping bag, crampons), etc. It was very convenient to not have to think at all about those logistics, especially as I watched others try to figure out how everything works in the tea houses. But, what I think I most appreciated was the special knowledge and insight that we gained through being with Magical Nepal’s guide Shikhar. While the beauty of the mountains is clear to anyone, he had tons of information to give us. Being from the mountains of Nepal himself, he could share so much info about the culture of the areas we passed through, the plants and animals we saw, he and his family’s experiences, etc. I asked so many questions and he was always patient to answer them or wait for us when we’d be stopping to look at yet another plant. His cheer and camaraderie (such as our morning stretching and our evening card games) were wonderful bonuses to our experience. He always had a smile on his face and sought to be helpful and a friend to use and anyone else on the trail. To sum it up, Magical Nepal and Shikhar exceeded my expectations and my experience on the trek was elevated as a result. If I come back, I would definitely ask for Shikhar again and I recommend you do as well.
My friend and I hiked Langtang with Shikhar and had a great time! Shikhar was a very positive, bright presence, livening us up whenever we were all together. He also shared a lot of interesting facts throughout the trek, including cultural and ecological. Magical Nepal was really responsive to our needs and requests in general. We asked to add on a day for Tserko Ri, and they were able to accommodate for a reasonable increase in cost. They also gave us our pre-trip briefing late at night, after our flight got in later than originally planned. Thanks for a great time!
First of all ot was an awesome trip with our extremly frendly and organised guide Mitra and our porter Rupi. The two sheduled the trakking perfectly and every Teehouse which we stayed in was already booked by the company. The guide and porter took care of all things that needed to be done like taking and serving meals or planing hikes. I felt save and in good hands along the trak. Furthermore was it great that the company took care of our transportation to Lang Tang Vally as well as to Chitwan nationalpark which they booked for us on our request. Overall was it a fanatstic expirience and everybody should give it a try.
As a non-hiker who prefers to stay inside, I’ve been deeply impressed with how well this trip was planned and what I’ve gotten to see. My wife and I were fortunate enough to have Jay Tamang as our guide, who consistently went out of his way to ensure we were having a good time/were safe/enjoyed our food/etc. He was extremely friendly, and happy to answer all our questions and to share things about the country, hike, and towns on the way. Calling this part of Nepal “scenic” is a disservice, as it’s genuinely unlike anywhere I’ve ever been. Our route followed a river among the Himalayan foothills, through small towns and ultimately to Kyangjin, which appears almost out of thin air when hiking over a ridge. If you are a fit, healthy person- awesome! You will probably have a moderate challenge at times, but ultimately be just fine. If you are less fit, as this reviewer is, you will have a difficult time. I did it, just with more effort, and as Jay was fond of saying ‘slowly slowly’. No injuries, no food sickness, though I didn’t prepare enough for sunburn. Thanks Jay for some unforgettable moments, like our sunrise, fresh snow hike up Kyangjin-Ri!
