Itinerario
Iniziamo il nostro viaggio in Mongolia dall'ufficio di Enza Tours LLC. Prima di iniziare la nostra guida turistica e l'autista locale li presenterà. Andremo al parco nazionale di Khustai, che è un luogo per animali selvatici. La cosa più interessante è guardare il cavallo selvaggio "Takhi", scoperto dal medico Prezwalski nel 1933. Takhi era quasi estinto, ma la gente ha riabilitato questa creatura nella fauna selvatica. Scopriremo in questa zona animali come lupi, marmotte, pecore selvatiche e cervi. Il nostro obiettivo sarà quello di descrivere una famiglia di cavalli selvaggi, compresi i suoi bambini. Dopodiché, faremo delle escursioni attraverso la natura incontaminata, una specie di flora e ti suggeriamo di portare la tua macchina fotografica per avere belle foto di paesaggi. Alla fine, torneremo alla città di Ulan Bator. In città, potrai uscire con la tua guida per vedere la città e cenare insieme in Mongolia.

One day at Khustai is probably not enough as half the time is spend driving from/to UB; go for 2 days if you have the time. But as a taster, this is a good tour. The park is beautiful and I had a good view of wild horses and an eagle. There is also an hour-long horse ride so you can channel your inner nomad. My guide Ichko (Coco) and driver Ganaa were both very good.

This 1 day tour from Ulaan Baatar is a nice introduction to this vast national park. The guide was great at finding the horses - which during our tour where high up in the hills and could only be seen with binoculars (provided by the tour guide). We did a short walk, but primarily drove to find the horses. We also saw ground squirrels, marmots, and a few hawks. We walked on sand dunes. The park is huge and for nature lovers, it would make an interesting 3-4 day trip. There are ghers at the park entrance and one can stay there overnight. The lunch was at the park entrance and very tasty. A horseback ride was supposed to be included in the tour, but since we booked the tour only the night before, we did not have time to fit it into the schedule. Actually spending more time in the park was more interesting.
