Absolutely the most professional experience I could have hoped for! Nicholas made the entire process transparent. He stayed in contact and was quickly responsive to emails. He created a turn-key experience that ran flawlessly. From the pick up at the Kigali airport to drop off a week later, there was not a single problem! Ronald, my guide, was equally as professional and competent. He was always where he said he would be; and he was always early. Ronald was unselfish with information, particularly to answering questions. He did not force talking and let me guide when and what to talk about. He is very respectful. His driving skills are superb. The roads are jammed with pedestrians, bikes, and motorbikes, but he never put anyone at risk. His English and Rwandan are perfect. Without his assistance, there would have been disruptions. The locations we ate at offered healthy vegetarian dishes. They were also clean establishments. The hotels, 2000Hotel and Karisimbi Cave Resort, were above average even though they were supposed to be “budget” versions. In both cases, the staff were helpful, nice, and appreciative. Also, his pricing rate was better than the other operators I researched. In summary, I would encourage my wife, as a solo traveler, to make this journey only if she were to do it with Devine African Safaris.

Did a solo trip out of Kigali to trek with gorillas. Tom was a phenomenal guide and was great company throughout the whole trip. It was truly a breathtaking experience and I can’t recommend Devine enough! Absolutely phenomenal and a seamless itinerary. I never felt rushed and felt like I was able to truly enjoy this experience while still being on a 2-day itinerary.

Our driver and guide, Ronald, was amazing. He was so knowledgeable of the animals in the park and ways to track them. He was extremely knowledgeable about all regions of the country. Not only did we enjoy our time with him, and the tours themselves, we also learned a lot! We appreciate being taken to the Genocide Memorial in Kigali and feel all tourists should take the time to visit. Akagera Mantis Game Lodge and Tiloreza Eco-lodge were great properties to stay at and the people working at both were absolutely fantastic! I give Devine Safaris, our guide, and the whole experience a 6-star rating!!! Thank you so much! We look forward to our next tour with you!

I can't say enough good about my guide. I was taken ill on arriving in Kampala, but he looked after me, even taking me to the local hospital for treatment, rearranging my permit so I could go a day later to see the gorillas. I had pretty much given up hope of seeing them, but his support and encouragement made it possible. As a guide, he went so far above and beyond what could be expected, and I am so grateful.

We booked a 3 day trip with Devine and it was the best decision !!! Emma the driver, collected us promptly from our hotel in Kigali. We headed out to the national park of Akagera. We did a full day safari and river cruise - and saw the big 5 plus many more animals and species of birds. Emma made sure we did not leave till we had seen everything…. Emma transferred us to our beautiful hotelswhere the staff, food and views were incredible. The following day we made our way back to Kigali to visit the genocide museum, this was unbelievably harrowing experience. So sad to be in a country where so much sadness has happened. So very sad, we paid our respects and we headed up to the mountains for the Big Day ahead of us. We stopped for lunch at a beautiful spot and proceed to our over night hotel, this was also a very very nice hotel with the most attentive staff. They even cleaned our boots for us 🥹 The following morning Emma was there promptly, he is always early, never a worry he would be late, waiting to take us to the foot of the mountain for the MOST amazing experience of my life. The gorilla hike was so much MORE than I expected. The hike was tough, but very doable. The pace was adjusted to the needs of our group. The guide and porters were simply amazing, so helpful in getting us up there, and filling us with knowledge along the way. Big shout out to Joseph my porter, he was so lovely, he was with me the whole way guiding me up and down through mud, overhanging branches and always checking in on me. Amazing guy ! We found the gorillas after hiking for 2.5 hours……I was speechless ! To see them 2 meters in front of me was UNBELIEVABLE, our guide was out of this world, his knowledge, his respect of the gorillas, keeping us safe yet giving us the most incredible experience to observe them so closely was out of this world. This whole trip was 100/10!!! Emma made this….he is a super friendly engaging guy. We had lots of interaction with him during our duration, always answering our many questions about the country and his life, without him this trip would not have been anywhere as enjoyable. He made us feel very safe, he accommodated our needs perfectly. Lastly I would like to mention Nichols. It was a little daunting trying to find the right company to book this special trip with. Someone we could trust and they would deliver. From my first interaction he was engaging, super responsive to emails, chased me up when I forgot to a send my passport, advised us the day before our trip, the name of our driver and our collection time. Always replied super quickly if I emailed with an enquiry. He made me feel very at ease booking with Devine. I could go on…..but lastly I would like to mention Emma again. We did alot of traveling in his Jeep, and he made us feel very safe. There are some crazy drivers in Rwanda’s….mainly on bicycles, he was a very experienced brilliant driver, he navigated the roads and road users with skill. His vehicle was immaculately clean, he is a credit to Devine Safaris. Thank you Emma 🙏🏻

After a lot of research, I decided to book with this travel agency, and it was the best decision! Nicholas, was very patient and answered all my questions before booking. He worked with me to create a customized itinerary, and everything went exactly as planned. During my trip, Ronald, my driver, was exceptional. He was always on time, knowledgeable, and very polite. Traveling solo can sometimes feel intimidating, specially in a foreign country but with their support, I was able to relax and truly enjoy Rwanda. I cannot explain how amazing my experience was with this company. My guide Tom was also exceptional. I travelled solo and enjoyed every minute. The beauty of the countryside and the mountain lodge before the magical gorilla trek. I saw a family of gorillas up close and it was a dream come true.
