Itinerario
Inizieremo il nostro tour dal Foro Romano. È qui che la mattina del 15 marzo del 44 a.C. Cesare si svegliò dopo una notte inquieta. Aveva gli incubi, il soffitto della sua casa che gli crollava sopra. Anche Calpurnia, sua moglie, aveva gli incubi. Forse è turbata dalle voci che qualcuno vuole Cesare morto.. Mentre Cesare si prepara per la giornata, Calpurnia lo prega di rimanere a casa. Ha un terribile presentimento. Cesare comincia a pensare che possa avere ragione. Ma poi bussa alla porta. È Bruto, dice a Cesare che i senatori lo stanno aspettando, l’agenda è piena di questioni importanti. Cesare guarda Bruto, una delle persone di cui si fida di più nella sua vita, quasi come un figlio. E decide che Bruto ha ragione: non può mancare al Senato quel giorno. Quello che non sa è che Bruto è anche l’organizzatore della congiura e che il piano è già in atto. Ignorando lo sguardo preoccupato di Calpurnia, Cesare esce e chiude la porta alle sue spalle. L'ultima passeggiata di Giulio Cesare è appena iniziata.
Cammineremo per Piazza Venezia e conosceremo il Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II. Fu in questa zona che Cesare, diretto al Senato e circondato dalla folla, ricevette un messaggio scritto con un avvertimento sulla congiura a cui stava andando. Ma Cesare si mise quel messaggio in tasca, pensando di leggerlo più tardi..
In questa zona vedremo molti segni antichi nascosti in bella vista, collegati ad un antico tempio egizio che si trovava proprio qui. I Romani infatti erano davvero affascinati dalla cultura egizia. Soprattutto da quando Cesare ospitò Cleopatra a Roma.

This tour was terrific . Federica our guide did an exceptional job, taking us back through history with with the story of Julius Caesar’s last days. She transported us back as we were walking the streets and we were all engrossed in her expert storytelling with so much feeling you felt like you were actually there. I cannot compliment Frederica enough as each one of her tours is truly an experience to be remembered. And the Julius Caesar tour is the latest of her greatest hits.

Federica is the BEST STORYTELLER she immerses you in the experience. You know how you love a great author because they bring you into the adventure and you envision all activity, this is exactly what she does. I felt like I learned more about this Roman history of Caesar and the ides of March in this 2.5 hours than I have learned trying to read up on Roman history or watching any documentary. Federica has hidden gems to point out and makes you ponder what power, corruption formed this great kingdom it was a very exciting informative evening and I highly recommend

We booked a private tour because the time of the tour didn’t fit our schedule. Fredrika took us on the journey back in time to the Ides of March 44BC. As we walked along the path she explained the events of the day leading up to Julius Caesar’s assassination. She was very knowledgeable about many details. Her presentation was engaging as we visited the sites Highly recommend her and her tour company. Thank you for a great experience.
