A little more walking than we anticipated but well worth it. Thelma the Queen was a magnificent guide.
If you're considering an off-ship excursion from Le Havre, don't hesitate to book this tour. The pickup and drop-off process was seamless, and we felt completely at ease choosing this excursion over one offered through the cruise line. Our guide, Ash, was exceptional. His knowledge of the D-Day landings, World War II history, and the events that unfolded on these beaches was truly incredible. He shared the information in a way that was engaging, respectful, and easy to follow, making each stop even more meaningful. Our stops included a rest stop/shop, the American Cemetery, Omaha Beach, Overlord Museum where we ate lunch, Pointe Du Hoc, and the German Cemetery. A special mention also goes to our driver, Charles, who was fantastic. He navigated the route with ease, making the journey comfortable from start to finish. The coach itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable, which made a long day of touring even more enjoyable. The itinerary was perfectly planned, with just the right amount of time at each location to explore, reflect, and take photos without ever feeling rushed. A wonderful surprise was the homemade lunch, which was fresh, delicious, and the perfect break during a full day of sightseeing. This was one of the most memorable excursions of our trip. If you want an informative, well-organized, and moving experience of the American D-Day Landing Beaches, this tour is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!
Bertrand was a fabulous guide for our visit to Normandy and various D-Day sites. His knowledge and passion for D-Day was outstanding. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Also, the bus was extremely clean and prompt; we kept to a tight schedule while allowing sufficient time to see all the sites. Highly recommend!
Excellent, excellent, excellent!! Worth every penny. My family of four, including two 10-year olds, had a fantastic time. This historic experience trip was informative and impactful on us all. Our guide, Bert, was a huge part of that. He is an exceptional teacher who is so passionate about this subject matter and went above and beyond sharing personal stories, pictures, and maps to make the experience so meaningful to all ages. Everything down to the homemade lunch was just incredible. I am SO happy that we did this tour and would recommend it to everyone!
Excellent tour!! So informative and punctual
Dr Sam is outstanding. Brought all of the historical sites to life….a wealth of knowledge. Everything was on time and well planned. Lunch was a good sized ham and cheese with chips, water, and dessert.
We very much enjoyed our trip. Everything went smoothly and Sam was very knowledgeable and friendly. The price was a little out of our price range, but we enjoyed every minute of the trip. The packed lunch was delicious and much appreciated after a long day. My husband is a history teacher so he was very pleased with this tour. We had ample time at each location.

Raymond was a fantastic guide who shared lots of knowledge about WWII and Normandy. In our opinion the tour was a bit overpriced for what it was. On our entire cruise of the British Isles including Normandy this was our most expensive excursion but also the least engaging.
