Si tratta di un tour organizzato in una piantagione di caffè a conduzione familiare situata in una zona urbana non lontana dal centro città, dove potrete assistere alla lavorazione del caffè dal seme alla tazzina. Berremo un sacco di caffè e impareremo tutto il processo di trasformazione. Il tour inizierà alla stazione della metropolitana di San Antonio; da lì prenderemo un tram per 20 minuti per raggiungere la stazione Oriente, dove saliremo a bordo di una funivia per 15 minuti, godendoci una vista panoramica della città. Arriveremo poi al quartiere La Sierra, situato nella Communauté 8, dove faremo una passeggiata di 20 minuti e saliremo alcune scale, poiché la fattoria si trova in un quartiere popolare. Lì, apprenderemo la storia della trasformazione e la cultura di questa comunità. Successivamente, raggiungeremo la fattoria, dove la famiglia di coltivatori di caffè ci aspetterà per condividere la sua storia di vita e spiegare praticamente tutti i processi necessari per la produzione del caffè.

Saliremo sulla funivia per raggiungere la piantagione di caffè dove avremo una vista panoramica della città di Medellin.
Saliremo sul tram di Ayacucho per andare al comune 8, durante il viaggio la guida spiegherà la storia della zona attraverso la quale passa il percorso del tram.
Arriveremo al quartiere La Sierra situato nel comune 8 dove faremo una passeggiata, in cui verrà spiegata la storia e la trasformazione di questa zona Mentre camminiamo visiteremo punti panoramici dove vedremo una splendida vista della città di Medellin dalla parte centro orientale e apprezzeremo i murales e la loro storia
Arriveremo a Casa Finca nel Barrio la Sierra dove ti aspetterà la famiglia di coltivatori di caffè, qui sarai accolto, data la prima tazza di caffè e la famiglia ti racconterà la storia della vita e come hanno iniziato con l'argomento delle coltivazioni di caffè, per poi procedere a prestare loro il costume tipico della regione per andare nelle piantagioni di caffè e raccogliere le bacche rosse del caffè e insegnare loro in modo pratico tutti i processi per fare un buon caffè da come viene piantato, raccolto, fermentato , essiccato e arrostito.

This was an excelllent half day tour! Melissa was very sweet and knowledgeable, and she took extra time to repeat every detail in both English and Spanish. In my group there was a mix of coffee lovers and non-coffee lovers; athletes and non-athletes. The tour was interesting, safe and enjoyable enough for everyone. Hopefully my starbucks-dark-roast-drinking family saw the light in locally sourced, gently roasted coffee. I certainly did!
I loved everything about this tour. Annie was amazing! This tour felt relaxed, educational, interactive and peaceful. I am happy to have this experience and its all thanks to the team.
This checked off so many things we wanted to do in one tour! We got to do coffee, ride the local train, ride the sky cart tram thing, and safely walk through a local town and hear about the history of it. We didn't realize that our group as a whole wanted to experience a local town outside of the city. This was perfect because we weren't aimlessly meandering the town, we had to get from point A to B but we did it casually and it wasn't too much or too little "talking" and "instruction". We walked past everyday life happening as the church let out, we saw families doing their normal routines, and we got to feel the surrealness as we picked coffee beans on the side of a gorgeous, quiet, breezy mountain. All while dressed and geared up as true colombians. It hits the soul! Book it!
This was my favorite tour in Medellin. It was informative, the group size was not too big, the coffee was great, and it supported the local community.
My tour guide was Anna. She was very professional, and knowledgeable. I learned so much about coffee I do not drink, but serve to the public. I get to return home with this wonderful information. Thanks for making it interesting.
Really such a great experience! Melissa, the tour guide, was incredible… and Somehow seeing how coffee is really made makes it taste better🤷🏼♀️ do the afternoon visit and spend some time browsing around the San Antonio park and station before rush hour!
It was better than l could have asked for. Appreciated the metro and the gondola ride and the tour of the neighborhood in Communa 8. Then the coffee picking and explanation by Rosa was nothing short of amazing. Thanks for the terrific day. Worth every penny.
We were a small group of 4 people. It felt personalized, and the explanations about places, processes, and stories were very good. It was a very connecting experience with history, and it felt very familiar.
Our guide Annie was amazing! Thanks for her intelligence and humor this experience was incredible! Medellin is incredible from that point and coffee farm and its hosts were very interesting 👍🏻
We had so much fun on this experince. Our guide Melisa was a dream. It felt more like we were spending time with an old friend than a tour guide. She was on time and made sure everyone was comfortable every step of the way. She was very knowledgeable, funny and over just a fun time. She kept us laughing and did an amazing job educating us on this history of the area and the coffee making process. The people at the coffee farm treated us with so much warmth it felt like being amongst family. I would highly recommend this tour. It is beautiful, well rounded and we ended up meeting some of the nicest people we have interacted with since coming to Medellin.
