Per prima cosa, andiamo dritti nella vera Cambogia. Vedrai la gente del posto fare la routine mattutina, distese infinite di risaie color smeraldo e quelle classiche case di legno su palafitte. La nostra prima tappa? Il Palm Sugar Village, dove le famiglie producono lo zucchero tradizionale cambogiano allo stesso modo da generazioni. Guarda l'intero processo dalla palma ai dolci cristalli dorati.
Questo punto di vista è esattamente quello che sembra. Le viste panoramiche spaziano attraverso canyon e foreste a perdita d'occhio. A pochi passi dal parcheggio, ma il payoff è incredibile.
Immaginate un Buddha reclinabile di 8 metri scolpito proprio sul fianco della montagna – stiamo parlando di 1.000 anni di pellegrini che fanno questa esatta salita che state per intraprendere. Le famiglie locali accendono incenso, i monaci offrono preghiere tranquille, e in qualche modo quell'antico volto di pietra sembra cambiare espressione con la luce che cambia. Spirituale o no, stare qui colpisce diversamente.
Migliaia di simboli sacri della fertilità incisi nel letto del fiume dai sacerdoti dell'XI secolo – trasformando l'acqua che scorre in acqua santa per l'intero regno di Angkor.
E' qui che la tua giornata diventa davvero bella. Piscine cristalline alimentate da acqua di montagna filtrata dal calcare, picnic sparsi su rocce lisce con cascate come colonna sonora. Poi arriva quella nuotata – acqua fredda (quella che ti sveglia all’istante) in piscine così pure da vedere ogni sassolino.

We had a great time with Seila as our tourguide and Mr. Theara as our driver. Seila was very friendly and made the tour even more interesting. He also took some great pictures! We received all the information after booking, and pick-up and drop-off were smooth. The tour was well paced and never felt rushed, and we had plenty of time to swim at the waterfall. The tour fee included everything, whereas it seemed other Phnom Kulen tours didn't include the admission fee. Would recommend this tour for a nice trip to Phnom Kulen.
We had the most amazing time with our guide Seila and our driver Mr.Theara. The tour was very well put together from the start to finish and Seila was very knowledgeable about the history of the various places we stopped at. The lunch was delicious and we were provided water throughout the day. I highly recommend this tour to everyone!
This was a fantastic tour! We started the day with a drive to Kulen Mountain. The view from the cliff was spectacular. Next, we went to see a reclining Buddha and had a traditional Khmer lunch down by a waterfall, followed by swimming. After that, we went to see the “Tomb Raider” temple ruins and finished the day with a boat ride on Tonle Sap Lake. Our tour guide Sam and our driver Theara were absolutely delightful. It was well worth the money and I’d definitely do it again!

Brilliant day and great value for money. Sam was a very good guide with excellent knowledge and very informative! Driver did a good job on the uneven roads and made good time. Picnic by the waterfall was a lovely experience as was the cool waters! Highly recommend.

What a fantastic day from start to finish. We were collected from the hotel lobby promptly. Sam our guide was a wealth of information & fun too. Our driver was fab too - smooth navigation & keeping us hydrated. The stops were well spaced with just the right amount of time there. My favourite bits were the reclining Buddha, a delicious lunch by the waterfall followed by a great swim there - so beautiful. Couldn’t have asked for a better day and company. Would 10/10 recommend.

Fantastic Kulen Mountain Waterfall Tour with picnic lunch with Mr Sam. Just the right amount of information en route. Perfect amount of time at each stop and super lunch. The visit to the reclining Buddha was a wonderful experience and the swimming in the waterfall was magical. Mr Sam was a knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humour and I would highly recommend. What an incredible day. We learned about the River of a Thousand Lingas, visited the Reclining Buddha at Wat Preah Ang Thom, received blessings from a monk, and swam at Phnom Kulen Waterfall. Excellent Kulen Mountain tour with Mr Kim! He was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of history for the area, he was also very accommodating for our groups needs with walking. The lunch was very filling and tasty, made even better knowing it supported local businesses from the mountain villages. The cold towels and cold water were much appreciated after the hot walk back from the waterfall!
