Combinando la storia della cucina della Louisiana e cocktail in stile New Orleans, questo evento è una festa per i sensi! Insieme alla tua Guida visiterai 6 luoghi: ristoranti di pesce premiati, sale cocktail artigianali nominate da James Beard, ristoranti creoli, negozi di caramelle artigianali e altro ancora. Una volta dentro potrete assaggiare fino a 6 o più piatti diversi che rappresentano le espressioni moderne del nostro patrimonio culinario: piatti classici come il gumbo, e le muffulette, ma anche nuove interpretazioni come le platani fritte dolci! (Opzioni vegetariane disponibili anche!) Ci godremo anche 4 cocktail full-size come la rinfrescante Pimm's Cup, l'uragano pesante di rum, il classico Daiquiri e altro ancora! Questa odissea gastronomica di 4 ore è il nostro modo per mostrarvi dove ci piace andare ora, e cosa ci piace mangiare e bere una volta lì. Itinerario
Il tour a piedi inizia all'interno del premiato Red Fish Grill nel quartiere francese di New Orleans. Inizierete con Alligator Sausage & Seafood Gumbo. Diamo anche il via alla festa con il nostro primo cocktail qui: il Cat 5 Hurricane. Questa parte del tour si concentra storicamente sul periodo precoloniale e coloniale della storia della Louisiana, e di solito dura circa 35 minuti.
Spostandovi di quattro isolati più in basso entrerete nel Pepper Palace, dove inizieremo a discutere dell'influenza Cajun, e assaggeremo una varietà illimitata di salse piccanti, salse per barbecue, salse Buffalo Wings, salse, strofinamenti secchi e altro ancora. I clienti del tour riceveranno anche una bottiglia gratuita di salsa piccante in stile Louisiana.
La nostra quarta sede sarà un'esperienza seduta presso l'iconico ristorante Napoleon House. Famosi per i loro cocktail unici di Muffulette e Pimm's Cup, li gusterete entrambi oltre a un salato pollo e salsiccia Andouille Jambalaya. A questo punto, la guida turistica non solo spiegherà questi piatti, ma anche i modelli di immigrazione del XIX secolo a New Orleans che hanno influenzato ancora una volta la cucina della Louisiana.
Da lì si passa Bourbon Street e ci si sposta per 4 isolati fino a Leah’s Pralines: un negozio di caramelle di proprietà familiare di terza generazione. Assaggerete le praline tradizionali e il loro unico Bacon Pecan Brittle.
Successivamente ti dirigerai al Cane & Table nominato ai James Beard Award. Con un focus sulla cucina coloniale rustica e bevande al rum giocose, assaggerai i loro platani fritti con crema al lime e salsa macha e un classico daiquiri di rum bianco caraibico, lime fresco e zucchero.

Our guide Ben was amazing. He knows all about the history of New Orleans and the story behind the dishes and the cocktails. A good trip to include in the first days of your stay so you know ehat to look for during the rest of your trip. You can collect all the tips and tricks of navigating New Orleans.
My friend and I decided to do this food tour as a part of our trip to New Orleans. I was kind of hesitant at first because I do not like a lot of seafood and I knew that it was going to be on the tour. I decided to go with the vegetarian options and they did not disappoint. I’m glad that this was a choice considering that spending all that money and not being able to have anything to eat would not make me very happy. Our tour guide Meg was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and personable. The stops that we went to had either good food, good drinks, both -or- things to sample. The samples were all of quality ingredients. The tour was for up to 16 people, but we only had five people which made it small and intimate by the end. We felt like we made a lot of new friends.
This tour was complete worth it. We had good food and drinks along with learning about New Orleans history. Our tour guide was fantastic. I would absolutely do it again and recommend to others. It is worth the price to do the food and cocktail tour

11/10 would recommend this tour to people. And hope that you get Ben as a guide because he was so knowledgeable and friendly, he had excellent rapport with the staff at every single stop. The food and cocktails were excellent at every stop. There was a bit of walking but it was by no means difficult, all flat, and there was enough time between stops to recover if need be. Definitely will be recommending this tour!
Guided tour, typical new Orleans tests, our guide was phenomenal, knew a lot of what he was talking about and didn’t skimp on any data. You knew very good stories about the tour but always open to tell us about other things we wish
Our tour guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and accomodating. We learned a great deal about the history of the city as well as the history of the food and cocktails. The restaurants were beautiful; the food and cocktails were fantastic. The praline store and the spice store were great. We brought home some of New Orleans to enjoy and remember our trip. I would definitely take this tour again
