Good tour. Just about the right length. Informative guide. Good lighting on the site for proper viewing and accentuation of the finds. May appear slightly staged (i.e., artifacts arranged vs. in situ from excavation); but that is okay as the emphasis is to give viewers a feel for the site rather than to adhere to exact archaeological "as discovered." The time of tour I was on was rescheduled one or twice. But that was dictated by the Vatican, not the operator. Afterward I went by Piazza San Pietro and found the whole square closed (not a single tourist in it), so there was certainly something happening at the Vatican that necessitated the rescheduling. To enter the Vatican, you enter a large unmarked door along the outside street. Then you walk through a staff parking garage to get to another unmarked door in the back that leads into the actual site.

I had no clue this was even a tour we could do & it was an absolute highlight of our anniversary trip to Rome! It's an unforgettable experience! It was the perfect length to be able to fully comprehend the location without being too overwhelmed as the material is so dense & powerful. There is alot of dust so consider this if you are prone to allergies etc that you might want a mask. Very knowledgable guide made this experience so memorable!

The guide was amazing. She was patient and very informative and understanding. The experience is a little too long. There were two videos. The experience could and should be about an hour. The guide made the experience very good.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject. She also gracious answered unrelated question about Vatican City in general. That said, I didn't give 5 stars because the site itself is limited as to what can be explored and frankly, underwhelming for what it cost.

Was canceled via tour. Stated cancelled via Vatican. Tour tried to get us to do a different tour, but did not fit our schedule. This was done less than 24 hours before the tour, but they knew it 2.5 weeks before but still took reservation and full payment. Received a full refund but disappointed on the tour still taking reservations.
Dear customer, Our booking office and booking office of Viator tried to contact You (calls,whatsapp and emails) for 2.5 weeks to inform You about the change made by the Vatican for insitutional reasons,and no answer was given by Your side until the day prior to the tour.Vatican is a separate country and we cant control closures of exclusive sites as thos one is.We give You options that where possibile,and we did all from our side that was possible.Finally,we autorized full refound even if this product is not rofundable and we consider that this revew is not ok,as You didnt partecipe on our tour.
Tour was cancelled after waiting in the heat outside for 20 minutes. No notice. Not handled well and completely unprofessional

I participated in the tour of the Vatican Underground Necropolis on Saturday, June 7, 2025. My interior experience was excellent, starting with Marko, tour manager, his female assistant (couldn't remember her name, sorry.) and the extremely knowledgeable tour guide. The starting time of the tour was slightly delayed due to the Vatican Staff. Marko and his assistant were extremely attentive to my needs while waiting, offering a cold drink and, keep me completely informed of the situation. Both of your staff were very professional with excellent customer service skills. I WAS EXTREMELY IMPRESSED BY MARKO AND HIS ASSISTANT. Getting back to the tour itself, the underground area was air conditioned, very comfortable. Very low humidity. I took lots of photos of the well-preserved ruins. In conclusion, I highly recommend this tour, your company and indicated staff. I have participated in many tours in Rome over the six years of visiting the city. This one is the best thus far.
