This was a very relaxing and educational tour. We saw birds, turtles, and a few gator heads poking out of the water. The Captain and his Tennille were wonderfully entertaining and the gift shop had unique items at a very reasonable price.
We had a wonderful time. We went with a group of mixed ages and everyone enjoyed the scenic views and Agnes’ informative and fun stories! I never knew about the intercostal waterways and that was really cool to learn about.
We learned alot about the local nature, appreciated the educated guide and how respectful they were.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an incredible experience! The Waccamaw River tour was hands down one of the highlights of our trip to Myrtle Beach. From the moment we left the dock, the scenery was absolutely breathtaking—towering cypress trees draped in Spanish moss, peaceful waters, and an abundance of wildlife made it feel like stepping into another world. Our guide was outstanding: knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the river and its ecosystem. We learned so much about the area's history, local wildlife, and unique environment while still having plenty of time to relax and take in the beauty around us. We were lucky enough to spot birds, turtles, and even an alligator! The pace of the tour was perfect—not rushed, but never boring. It was peaceful, informative, and a wonderful escape from the busy beach scene. Whether you're visiting Myrtle Beach for the first time or you've been coming for years, this tour is an absolute must-do. I can't recommend the Waccamaw River tour highly enough. This was so much fun! Agnes and the captain are so knowledgeable about the area and the animals. We really enjoyed learning the history of the waterway, and my girls had fun hunting frogs before we boarded.
Bring binoculars and a camera. You never know what you’ll see on the tour. This was my fourth visit.
What a great boat tour! Saw ospreys, lots of alligators and huge birds. The tour guide was great—knowledgeable and funny! This is a must-do when in Myrtle Beach!
My husband and I had a great time. It was truly a unique experience. There were about 40 of us on the pontoon boat which was very nice and clean. Everyone who ran the event was super friendly, informative and fun. The boat tour took about 1.5 hours. They didn't advertise that there was a bathroom on the boat but that was super, for us old folks. We really enjoyed it and will take our grandkids next summer when we go back to Myrtle on vacation. :)
Had a wonderful experience with the River Tour. Our tour guide Agnes was great! She gave lots of interesting information about the river, the wildlife, and the history of the area. The osprey that we saw were beautiful! Would recommend the tour to other family and friends!
