Avventura di un giorno intero : Montagna di Kulen, Beng Mealea e Tonle Sap : Verremo a prendervi dal vostro hotel tra le 7 : 30 - 8 : 00 am – si prega di attendere nella hall entro le 7 : 30 precise. Sarà una giornata impegnativa, ma fidati, ne vale la pena ogni minuto.
Per prima cosa, andiamo dritti nella vera Cambogia. Vedrai la gente del posto fare la routine mattutina, distese infinite di risaie color smeraldo e quelle classiche case di legno su palafitte. La nostra prima tappa? Il Palm Sugar Village, dove le famiglie producono lo zucchero tradizionale cambogiano allo stesso modo da generazioni. Guarda l'intero processo dalla palma ai dolci cristalli dorati.
Questa è roba grossa – il vero luogo di nascita dell’Impero di Angkor. Saliremo sulla vetta del monte Kulen per ammirare panorami mozzafiato, quindi visiteremo l'imponente Buddha reclinabile scavato proprio nella roccia. Il prossimo è il fiume dei Mille Lingas: queste antiche incisioni nel letto del fiume sono assolutamente strabilianti. Questo punto di vista è esattamente quello che sembra. Le viste panoramiche spaziano attraverso canyon e foreste a perdita d'occhio. A pochi passi dal parcheggio, ma il payoff è incredibile.
Immaginate un Buddha reclinabile di 8 metri scolpito proprio sul fianco della montagna – stiamo parlando di 1.000 anni di pellegrini che fanno questa esatta salita che state per intraprendere. Le famiglie locali accendono incenso, i monaci offrono preghiere tranquille, e in qualche modo quell'antico volto di pietra sembra cambiare espressione con la luce che cambia. Spirituale o no, stare qui colpisce diversamente.
Migliaia di simboli sacri della fertilità incisi nel letto del fiume dai sacerdoti dell'XI secolo – trasformando l'acqua che scorre in acqua santa per l'intero regno di Angkor.
E' qui che la tua giornata diventa davvero bella. Piscine cristalline alimentate da acqua di montagna filtrata dal calcare, picnic sparsi su rocce lisce con cascate come colonna sonora. Poi arriva quella nuotata – acqua fredda (quella che ti sveglia all’istante) in piscine così pure da vedere ogni sassolino.
Dopo pranzo, andiamo a qualcosa di veramente speciale. Il tempio di Beng Mealea è come potrebbe essere Angkor Wat se la natura fosse stata lasciata a reclamarlo alla fine. Costruito nel XII secolo, questo tempio è assolutamente avvolto da viti della giungla e massicce radici di alberi. E' crudo, autentico e sembra che tu sia la prima persona a trovarlo.
La nostra ultima tappa ci porta in uno dei villaggi galleggianti più affascinanti della Cambogia. Queste famiglie vivono tutta la loro vita sull'acqua, circondate da imponenti palafitte e fitte foreste di mangrovie. Visiteremo un monastero buddista costruito su un'isola artificiale - è diverso da qualsiasi cosa tu abbia mai visto prima.

Incredible tour! Our guide, Mr. Sa, was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the culture and history of Cambodia. Everything was super well organized and the team was so incredibly attentive to our needs.
We had an amazing time. The guide Mr Kim and the driver Mr.Jame took us to some beautiful places including a waterfall. The lunch included was also very nice and served in a private area.

What a wonderful day with Mr August learning about Cambodian culture beyond Angkor Wat. The AC ride started with a stop learning about making- and sampling delicious Palm Cake. Visiting Kulen to eat and then swim in the waterfall with the locals was my favorite part of the day. Exploring Beng Mealea, Thousand Lingas, and learning about Cambodia was a wonderful experience. I loved seeing the Reclining Buddha - but walking the area to see the offerings of lotus flowers and prayer was truly beautiful. Seeing Tonle Sap in dry season was neat- the kids playing throughout the unfolded street was my fav part and the boat ride was fun too. Mr August is kind, knowledgeable, and hospitable. He and our driver provided us with plenty of water, some snacks, and a special souvenir. I highly recommend booking this tour with Mr August!

I can’t say enough good things about this tour, it packs so many great experiences into one day: a cliff viewpoint, reclining Buddha, waterfall, 1,000 lingas, floating village, and a temple visit all in a single itinerary. It’s a full and active day, but absolutely worth it to see so many unique sites. Our guide, Veasna, and driver, Sothea, made the experience enjoyable and comfortable despite the hot and humid weather. Veasna was friendly, personable, and had a great sense of humor while sharing detailed information about each site and Cambodia’s history throughout the day. He also pointed out the best photo spots and was always happy to take pictures for us. One of the highlights was the relaxing picnic lunch they arranged in the shade overlooking the waterfall, with delicious local food. They also kept us comfortable all day with cold water and refreshing towels every time we returned to the bus. This tour is an amazing way to experience many of Siem Reap’s highlights in just one day. Highly recommend!

It was one of the best tours I have ever done. The tour guide was great; he explained everything, and one felt very safe. The bus was air-conditioned, and there was Wi-Fi and power outlets. The tour stops were also very well chosen. Temples, waterfalls, lunch, viewpoints, boat rides—everything was included; it was truly a fantastic tour. Additionally, there was plenty of water, cold towels, and at the end, even a small gift for everyone.

Surpassed my expectations, was at a good price and include some many activities. I was able to pay by card and do payments online, that make the trip easy. The temple and the waterfalls were my favorite activities. Mr Jan is great tour guide that know very well his business and Mr Moon is a smooth driver. This tour is a must activity in Siem Reap.
