L’unica fattoria di sale funzionante dell’isola di Hawai‘i, presente nel “Guy Hawaiian Style” di Guy Fieri, si trova su un sito panoramico di fronte all’oceano di 7 acri nel Parco scientifico e tecnologico oceanico di Hawai‘i (HOST Park), una comunità dedicata all’innovazione oceanica. Il nostro sale è raccolto a mano dal nostro Capo Salt Maker da acque profonde oceaniche prelevate da 2.200 piedi sotto la superficie. Durante il tour, imparerai il significato culturale del sale hawaiano (paʻakai), il viaggio della nostra acqua ultrapura e il nostro processo di evaporazione solare. Goditi una degustazione guidata di sale, con varietà pure, aromatizzate e affumicate. Sono disponibili bagni facoltativi per i piedi dell'oceano profondo. Se hai poco tempo, visita il nostro negozio al dettaglio, a pochi minuti dall'aeroporto. Attraverso il nostro programma Give Back, l'1% delle entrate supporta la pulizia dei detriti marini e il ripristino dei coralli. The lady who gives the tour remembers your name after only hearing it once. Our group was pretty big. She gave us lots of info and we got to see the evaporation process. She took every group/family picture in a beautiful spot. We tried the salts and were able to buy them. I would give this tour and guide an A++. It went beyond my expectations!

A nice find! Our guide was very informative and sharing how the farm started and then morphed to what it is now was impressive. Beautiful venue for special events and the shop has a great selection. The time spent was about an hour so easy to fit into the day and continue on with other activities.

the guide was very knowledgeable and informative. I wasn’t aware of the optional foot soak, which would have been nice. I loved the tasting and bought many bottles of salt to take back home.
The Kona salt farm was amazing. I enjoyed the history of the farm, tasting of the salt, and the foot soak. The staff was kind. What left me wanting more was the flavored salt.
Such a great tour! All of us from age 8 to 63 really enjoyed learning about the history of this beautiful place! The salt is amazing! Highly recommend!
Was a good experience, learned a lot about the company’s history and about the process of getting the sea water and how the evaporation is done to come up with the final product, sea salt. The tour was very informative and the ocean view amazing. The salt tastings were delicious. I also did the foot soak in 45 degree water, that was interesting. I am glad I did both the tour and foot soak, I enjoyed the experience.
Great tour guide. Not much to tour for an experience. A suggestion would be to feel or walk on sea salt.
