Tempio Chayamangkalaram, Tempio birmano di Dhammikarama, Strade di George Town - Sito Patrimonio dell'Umanità UNESCO. Wat Chayamangkalaram è un tempio tailandese a Penang famoso per il suo grande Buddha sdraiato placcato in oro (non un Buddha dormiente), che a 33 metri, è uno dei più grandi del mondo
Quindi visiterai anche la collina di Penang, dove viaggerai su un funicolare fino alla sua vetta a 833 m sul livello del mare per godere di una spettacolare vista panoramica su Georgetown e la terraferma Butterworth. Bungalows coloniali si trovano intorno a questa collina a causa degli inglesi che preferiscono rimanere in un clima più fresco rispetto all'ambiente caldo e umido della città.
Successivamente, visiterai il tempio di Kek Lok Si. Costruito nel 1891 come un piccolo santuario, da allora si è ampliato fino a diventare uno dei templi più maestosi e più grandi del sud-est asiatico. Sin dalla sua fondazione nel 1930, la "Pagoda dei Diecimila Buddha" è considerata una delle meraviglie architettoniche più belle di Penang in quanto è in grado di incorporare 3 culture in una struttura: base ottagonale cinese, fila centrale tailandese e corona birmana. Una statua in bronzo di Guan Yin - Dea della Misericordia di 30,2 m è stata eretta nel 2002 sul punto più alto del tempio. È raggiungibile tramite un ascensore inclinato al centro. Sulla strada, ci fermeremo per un assaggio gratuito del famoso caffè bianco / tè di Penang a Coffee Tree e anche a Crown Pewter per la dimostrazione - Testimone del modo in cui viene realizzato l'artigianato malese. The tour was the best of our entire trip to Asia. Our guide, The, picked us up right at the harbor. We were able to spot him easily. Everything was explained to us very well beforehand. The had sent us his WhatsApp number in advance. The lovingly took us to the hotspots in Penang, always against the flow of tourists, so we could explore and enjoy everything at our own pace. He always gave us as much time as we needed and passionately and authentically showed us his city. He fully addressed all our wishes. The tour and especially The were truly fantastic! The car was air-conditioned and had enough space for 4 people. The price-performance ratio was more than reasonable! Many thanks for this wonderful experience - especially to The!
Had a thoroughly enjoyable tour with Josh. He was very friendly and very informative. We loved our visit to Kek Lok Si temple but the outstanding part for us was our trip on the funicular to Penang Hill. Travelling with a guide allowed us to bypass the huge queues and Josh made sure we got the best view on the way up and the way down. Stunning. After Penang Hill we had a visit to a coffee shop and got to taste lots of different flavours of Penang white coffee. All delicious but we particularly liked the coconut and took some home. Wish we had taken more packets as they are quickly running out. After that we had a visit to the Thai Temple Wat Chayamangkalaram before being taken back to our hotel. Would definitely recommend doing this tour.
We were picked up on time in an air conditioned car . Given information on local sites on way to first location. Driver waited at each level which was great given the hot weather. Second location given instructions and fast tickets for Penang Hill where you take a couple of hours to see the sites and travel via the funicular. Meeting at the base was asked if we wanted to return to our hotel but should have been taken on the third leg of the trip which was Kek Loc Si temple and free sample of coffee/ tea at Coffee Tree. Therefore we weren’t taken on the whole tour advertised!

Going into this tour, I didn’t know what to expect, but MAN I am SOOO glad I booked this tour!!!!!! The tour guide was excellent, super knowledgeable, amazingly nice, and was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever come across. To top off my experience, I was lucky to see Monkeys, and baby monkeys!!!!!! The views were spectacular! Thank you so much for a fun experience!

It was good cultural experience. The views and temples were pretty impressive. A bit hot weather but still manageable.
We only had a very limited time at Penang and wanted a tour that can give us only the best part of Penang without missing out too much. This tour was excellent for our short stay. Our tour guide Gshen was an excellent guide and gave us many history and cultural explanations. Ge gave enough time tk explore each site and took many great photos for our family as well. We truly enjoy this tour and strongly recommend especially if you have limited time to explore Penang!
