Dove la maggior parte dei templi - Stupa, vecchio palazzo reale e cortile reale elencati nei siti del patrimonio mondiale. KATHMANDU DURBAR SQUARE -HANUMAN DHOKA di un tour di un'ora: Kathmandu Durbar Square pullula di vita colorata e attività che si trovano nel centro della città, una volta un palazzo reale e un cortile da Malla a Shah Kings. Kathmandu Durbar è una grande piazza con le sedi storiche dei precedenti Royal Nepal, da ex re, la piazza con vecchi templi e palazzi, che simboleggia la vita religiosa e culturale del popolo nepalese. Qui è dove il re del Nepal è stato incoronato e il posto interessante da visitare nella piazza comprende: Tempio di Taleju costruito dal re Mahendra Malla nel 1549 d.C. Gigantesca figura di Kal Bhairav, il dio della distruzione. Basantpur Durbar o Nautalle Durbar, costruito dal re Prithivi Narayan Shah con piattaforma di incoronazione (Nasal Chok). Hall of Public audience (Gaddi Baithak) Statua del re Pratp Malla-Big Bell-big Drums e Jaganath Temple. Visita il vecchio Tempio di Kastamandap (da cui deriva il nome di Kathmandu) significa un tempio costruito in legno di un singolo albero. TEMPIO DI KUMARI (The Living Goddess) Un tempio e residenza della Dea Vivente; Kumari, situato nel centro della piazza del palazzo di Hanuman Dhoka: L'edificio con balconi in legno intagliato e paraventi costruiti dal re Jaya Prakash Malla, l'ultimo Malla King di Kathmandu, la dea Kumari conosciuta anche come la dea vivente vergine. Quando raggiunge la pubertà, viene sostituita da un'altra successiva Kumari. Swayambhunath Stupa / Monkey Temple un tour di un'ora o meno: Dopo un grande momento intorno a Pashupatinath e Bouddhanath, dove la guida ti porta alla periferia della città dirigendoti verso ovest per raggiungere un famoso punto di riferimento del paese di Swayambhunath Stupa, noto anche come tempio delle scimmie a causa di molte scimmie che abitano intorno e vicino alla zona verde di foresta. Importante patrimonio e punto di riferimento del Nepal, nonché uno dei più gloriosi stupa buddisti del mondo, con una storia di oltre 2.600 anni, una struttura principale di Stupa fatta di emisfero solido di mattoni e argilla che sorregge una maestosa guglia conica ricoperta da un pinnacolo di rame dorato . I quattro lati dipinti della guglia sono occhi onneggianti del Signore Buddha, arroccato su una collina a circa 7 metri sopra il livello del fondovalle, un mosaico di collina di stupas e templi di pagode, dove si possono osservare grandi vedute della città di Kathmandu e la valle con le montagne innevate verso nord in una bella giornata limpida. Dopo un tour piacevole e interessante, tornate nel cuore della città di Kathmandu per l'ultimo tour di Kathmandu Durbar Square.
Bouddhanath Stupa (un tour di un'ora o meno con la pausa pranzo): Dopo un momento emozionante al sacro tempio di Pashupatinath, un breve viaggio in auto conduce a nord verso un interessante sito di Stupa di Bouddhanath conosciuto anche come "Piccolo Tibet" a causa dell'ambiente simile alla tradizione e alla tradizione tibetana del buddismo Mahayana e alla cultura colorata. L'area di Bouddhanath Stupa, situata a est della città, una grande colossale cupola a forma di stupa, ritenuta la più grande al mondo con tutti gli occhi veggenti del Signore Buddha, costruita dal re Lichchhavi Mana Dev nel V secolo dC È costruita su una base ottagonale con preghiera ruote. Visita del tempio di Pashupatinath di un'ora: Il nostro tour di Kathmandu inizia con una visita sacra al famoso tempio indù di Pashupatinath, situato a 5 km. distanza dalla città principale verso est sulla riva del sacro fiume Baghmati, un tempio dal tetto dorato dedicato al signore Shiva (una delle principali tre divinità della religione indù) con intricate porte in argento intagliato su quattro quadrati cardinali. Un famoso per la sua superba architettura e un centro di pellegrinaggio annuale nel giorno di Maha Shiva-Ratri (Shiva Birth Anniversary), che cade durante il mese di metà febbraio come Hindu Luna Calendar. Dove non sono ammessi indù all'interno dei locali del tempio principale, tuttavia è possibile osservare i riti religiosi e le attività dei fedeli dall'altra parte del fiume.

My tour of Kathmandu with Kedar was great. I spent 4 hours seeing some of the highlights of Kathmandu and learning about the history and culture of the region. The tour is paced according to your wishes which is nice after traveling for a day to reach Nepal. I highly recommend this tour if you want to catch some of the major attractions of Kathmandu in a relatively short period of time.

I loved this trip and my guide Kedar was just amazing!!! I was picked up from my hotel lobby in the morning and saw 4 Unesco Sites. It turned out that Kedar used to be the President of the Nepal Tour Guide Association and everywhere we went, he was known and greeted warmly. He made sure I had good pictures and he also talked to a monk he knew for a permission to take a picture with him. I was the only tourist this day and Kedar adjusted the tour per my liking, making sure that I had plenty of time to do my souvenir and singing bowls shopping.
