Il nome quechua Qenqo significa labirinto. Nella visione del mondo della cultura andina, questo luogo è stato costruito per invocare Kaypacha, il serpente leggendario che dà vita. Gli Inca usarono questo posto come un ponte per comunicare con gli altri dei loro dei come il sole, la terra, le montagne, la luna e le stelle. Tutto in questo posto ha una mistica speciale, l'anfiteatro, i labirinti, i canali e la sala sacrificale.
Puka Pukara ospita recinti come piazze interne, canali, acquedotti, bagni e una famosa strada antica, che avrebbe dovuto far parte della rete di strade Inca conosciute come Qhapaq Ñan; Gli edifici sono costruiti con rocce di diverse dimensioni (piccole e medie). Puca Pucara presenta una superficie delle rocce molto irregolare, rispetto ad altri siti archeologici.
Il complesso archeologico di Tambomachay è anche noto come Baños de Inca ed è uno dei più importanti edifici Inca; Ciò è dovuto alla grande maestria e all'incredibile lavoro con le pietre che formano le sue pareti. Ha un sorprendente sistema idraulico sotterraneo, e questo è molto semplice da spiegare, la civiltà Inca venerava l'acqua come una divinità vivificante.

Guido is an amazing guide. He explains in great detail throughout the entire tour. He is very patient and if at any time you feel tired he will wait for you. I love history and Guido makes it even more interesting. I loved that Guido was our guide because you can tell he enjoys your work :)
The views and landscapes I saw during the trip were wonderful and worth the early mornings we had. The food is good, but you are used to the seasoning of your country. I recommend visiting the LA CHICHA restaurant. The food there is delicious, but it is by reservation. On our tour we had two very good guides who cared about us and that we were well (both for Health, height and one's comfort) “Frank and Johan” clearly rave it up with more photos and videos… We also had A colleague “Persi” was the one who drove the city to take us and pick us up. Persi “always returned us safe and sound.” The hotel we stayed in #AyniCusco was very clean and welcoming. The hotel managers were always very friendly and attentive. In the 6 days we were in Peru we managed to make friends. We are already waiting for the next trip for our reunion🫶 The truth is that I highly recommend: #INKAYNIPERU and #LOCALADVENTURES.

Great city tour with Johnathan. He was knowledgeable, easy to talk to and a great storyteller making the tour interesting and fun. I’ve done many city tours and this was easily one of my favourites. I would definitely recommend this tour!
