La città di Cordova, situata sulle rive del Guadalquivir e ai piedi della Sierra Morena, fu la capitale della provincia betica durante l'Impero romano e del Califfato di Cordova durante l'epoca musulmana. La storia di Cordova ci ha lasciato meraviglie architettoniche come la Moschea-Cattedrale, il Ponte Romano e il vecchio quartiere ebraico, tra gli altri. Passeggiate per questa città andalusa e approfittate della possibilità di gustare la cucina locale. Dopo pranzo, visiteremo la bellissima Moschea-Cattedrale di Cordova, dichiarata Patrimonio dell'Umanità dall'UNESCO nel 1984. Questo meraviglioso monumento architettonico è stato originariamente creato per il culto musulmano. Rappresenta uno dei principali gioielli del patrimonio storico e architettonico dell'Andalusia. Torneremo a Siviglia dopo aver goduto di una magnifica giornata di escursione, con luoghi di straordinaria bellezza.

Prima di entrare nel quartiere ebraico, passeremo accanto alle scuderie reali, costruite nel 1570 dal re Filippo II, che era un grande amante dei cavalli per creare un puro cavallo spagnolo di razza.
Cammineremo tra il quartiere di San Basilio, vicino al quartiere ebraico, per ammirare i famosi Patios o cortili di Cordova, che ogni anno attirano migliaia di visitatori nella famosa competizione nel cortile. Visiteremo alcuni di questi meravigliosi patii pieni di fiori e vasi appesi alle loro pareti.

After a tour in Granada and Alhambra days ago, we participated in the exciting and relaxed tour of Cordoba and the Mosque-Cathedral, despite the intense heat. The guide Daniela from Naturanda was very kind, attentive to our needs, and thorough in her explanations of the places; we were able to follow her both in the presentation in Italian and in Spanish. The local guide in Cordoba, with perfect Italian, was able to explain and show us many details of the immense and rich cathedral mosque in a short time, explaining the history of the Caliphate of Cordoba and the mosque as well as the subsequent history. The tour was a well oiled system. The tour guide knows the itinerary to the minute. Our guide (English- Italian) was Jesus. Group was about 30ish in a bus, so not packed. Then split into 2 groups, other was spanish-french. We were about 15 in ours. Well versed guides, Jesus specially. Very passionate and informative. Carmona, Cordoba were both amazing. Heatwave of 100+F (38C+), not so much. Dry heat so it was tolerable. Amazing scenes, the structures are sight to be seen. No amount of pictures or words can give you that goosebumps touching the actual artifact, smelling it, seeing it. Listening to the stories passed on by generations. There are always stores to buy water and drinks, but during summer, a hat and sunscreen is a must. I stood out as a typical tourist with my set up but I was comfortable.

The tour was very well organized. The staff at Naturanda is very professional in what they do and is warm and friendly, both the office staff and the guides and drivers. Good punctuality. The stop in Carmona before arriving in Córdoba was a great choice because it is a charming little town. Córdoba is impressive!
Driss was a wonderful guide. He has a great sense of humor; he was informed and taught us so much. He managed a difficult situation with a couple of folks in our group with a gentle touch. Highly recommend.
We departed from Seville with our guide Adrian, a kind and professional young man. He led us to Carmona and guided us on an interesting walk through the beautiful streets of the town. Then we met Rafa "the caliph of guides" who, with charisma and passion, told us about the wonderful mosque. Everything was truly wonderful; Adrian and Rafa were excellent! Patrizia and Giuseppe
the journey is a bit long, over 3 hours round trip, but it is not the agency's fault. The guide to the mosque/cathedral was very skilled, knowledgeable, and passionate, and the place is magical, truly a surprising context. The rest of the city tour of Cordoba was too short and not very interesting; on the way back, the stop in Carmona was also too brief and lacking in points of interest.

Informative, helpful and he kept a watchful eye on a large bus group He gave us a very good restaurant tip too The city is but very nice but the cathedral is not to be missed We were fortunate that there was some sort of celebration going on that day and many women were dressed in their colorful clothes We even saw a parade of horse drawn carriages. It was a wonderful trip
