L'Independence Memorial Hall è un monumento nazionale in Sri Lanka costruito per commemorare l'indipendenza dello Sri Lanka dalla dominazione britannica con il ripristino della piena responsabilità di governo di una legislatura eletta da Ceylon il 4 febbraio 1948.
La Cattedrale di Santa Lucia è la sede dell'Arcivescovo dell'Arcidiocesi cattolica di Colombo. Prende il nome dalla santa vergine e martire Santa Lucia, la cattedrale è considerata la più antica e grande cattedrale parrocchiale dello Sri Lanka

È costituito da 92 bancarelle commerciali, con un certo numero di bancarelle stabilite sulle barche sul lago Beira. Il mercato galleggiante funge da attrazione turistica che vende prodotti locali e artigianato locale.
Centro espositivo
La torre fu costruita come torre dell'orologio nel 1856-57 e fungeva anche da faro. Il faro fu disattivato dopo che la sua luce fu oscurata da edifici vicini e fu dismessa il 12 luglio 1952. Il moderno Faro di Galle Buck fu eretto su Marine Drive come rimpiazzo.

Excellent Tour Guide Tharaka Sri Lanka by car great places to see and knowledgeable highly recommended. Our experience to visit the Hindu and Buddhist Temple was extra ordinary.Our experience was kind of personal just the two of us we had great time in Colombo City Tour.
Tharaka is the best and most knowledgeable tour guide I have ever had. He was very punctual, flexible and helpful and he adjusted the tour based on my likings. He shared with me so many interesting facts about the country, the local religions and traditions. If you are visiting Sri Lanka, this tour should be on the top of your list!
Had great time in this tour.. Even though our flight was cancelled on the actually planned day, contacted Rajeewa via WhatsApp and he made process seamless and he was really helpful with answering all my questions and made everything easy. We were picked up from the Transit Hotel and everything was ready to roll. Diyath was my tour guide and was so nice and he also waited for us while we were getting ready and had lunch in the Hotel. He was very knowledgeable and was able to provide history of the places we visited. Though we didn’t had much time because of flight delays … but he made sure we covered most of the places which are open. He explained everything very nicely and was very kind. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has a layover in Sri Lanka!👍👌
Was a great tour, can 100% recommend. We had a really nice guide who showed us very interesting places and took us also there where we asked. We had a nice car with AC, very clean and nice to drive.

I was picked up from the hotel promptly. It was a Hindu festival and we visited the temple as well as 2 Buddhist temples. Also visited a food market and tasted several different fruits. Drove round to get a general idea of the city with several stops. Very relaxed and great information. Kumara had good English and was very friendly.
I found Sri Lanka by Car very well organised, the communication was prompt and helpful. They even provided a car seat for our 4 year old which was great. Godfrey was our guide and he was a wealth of knowledge and answered any questions we had with ease. He gave choices along the way and anytime wanted to stop along the way it was never to much trouble. I would recommend Sri Lanka by Car they were very good.
Try start early in the morning so you have more time there to visit more places. Plan for a day trip if you have the time. You can try the chilli crab there too !
