Jagroop provided a lovely experience showing us around his family farm, a tractor ride, and learning about Sikh Punjabi culture. Communication was great guiding us to the farm.
we had a great time visting the farm and and the people are very good and friendly loved the experience!!!!
This is excellent, a great way to see how people live in the Pind of Punjab. The hosts were very welcoming and there are various things to do and see there.
I am highly disappointed with this activity ...can you believe?? I couldn't locate the place where we were suppose to reach .. and this is highly insane as the responsible person neither he picked call nor called me back to ask, where we are? Why have not reached? I mean 7k amount is nothing for him. The most irresponsible person I have ever seen. I completely know the rules but just because of this least bother attitude . I am asking for refund. Kindly refund my money.
Lovely rustic and homely experience courtesy of Jagri and his family. Excellent home cooked food. A turban each A tractor dragged tour of the countryside Masala chai to die for. Thank you!
This was a very enjoyable experience allowing us to see some real India which was off the normal tourist route. We were welcomed into the guides family home and given a tractor ride around the land he and his family farm. It was most worthwhile and extremely friendly.
We came to Amritsar for 2.5 days only, we planned a village tour on our last day and we lucked out with this tour. It was one the best experiences we had in all of things we did in Amritsar. Unfortunately we came in off season timing, so we couldn’t see the sarso ke khet and stuff, but Jagroop ji ensured that we made the most of our tour. He has amazing stories to tell, uncle ji and aunty ji are also very nice people who share their experiences in life. Since their village is just 14km apart from the Pakistan border, they have so many bits of history that they share with you about the border. Jagroop ji also took us to the farms, told us about the problems farmers face and how they tackle them, about the history and geography of Punjab and so much more that you will not go empty handed. You will not only have experiences but also stories to share among your people. Do visit their tour if you are looking for a host who is a good human with high values and treats his guests like gods! Wonderful host and lovely family.
We had a really lovely couple hours at Jagroop's family home in the heart of the Punjabi, learning about the region and its importance as the bread basket India. We had masala tea and pakoras, hand made over an open stove, talked history and politics then went for a drive on the family tractor, taking turns driving, then watched the wheat being harvested (as it was April harvest time) then even had a ride on a combine harvester! Jagroop's family were welcoming and showed us their daily life and routines as well as dancing and turban wearing. A really lovely memory from our wonderful first trip to India! Thank you 🙏
This concept is run by a very loving and adorable Punjabi Family. They warmly open their home and host guests regularly. During our visit we were hosted by Mr. Ravinder Singh. We first entered the home and were welcomed and introduced to the whole family. After a quick fun introduction and exchange of small talk we were treated to some yummy gud wali chai & pakoras. Our stomach content and satisfied, we were treated to a quick tour of the home and then we headed into their fields on a tractor. We even got to drive the tractor ourselves. What an experience!!! Once in a life time! We got back home and then feasted on a delicious home cooked meal. The meal comprised of all the local favourites - masoor dal, sarson da saag, aloo gobi sabji, raita, makkai di roti & wheat rotis, there was some tasty matar pulao too. We ended the meal with the absolutely mandatory & authentic Punjabi Lassi!! Words fall short for this enriching experience. The warmth of a true Punjabi home radiated from every member of the family. A once in a lifetime experience one must go through for sure.
This is a wonderful half day out. You need to book a driver there and back (it’s about 25 minutes from central Amritsar) and Jagroop and his family will welcome you to his home, serve you masala tea, make you pakoras, take you on a tractor ride and generally treat you to a great experience of village life. Highly recommended if you want to get away from the city and regular sites
