Una visita ad Al Khor, situata a 50 chilometri a nord della capitale Doha. Considerata una delle più grandi città del Qatar. Al Khor ospita molti dipendenti dell'industria petrolifera grazie alla sua vicinanza ai giacimenti di petrolio e gas naturale del nord del Qatar e alla città industriale di Ras Laffan.
Fermati all'isola viola, conosciuta anche come Jazirat bin Ghanim, a circa un'ora di auto da Doha. Si tratta di una piccola isola, collegata alla terraferma da uno stretto sentiero che si interrompe in diversi punti per permettere all'acqua di defluire verso la foresta di mangrovie.
Situata a circa 35-40 km da Doha, la spiaggia di Al Thakira è il luogo ideale per nuotare, prendere il sole o trascorrere una giornata rilassata in spiaggia. La spiaggia offre viste serene delle più grandi e antiche riserve di mangrovie del Qatar.
Al Zubarah è il più grande sito archeologico del Qatar. È stato nominato Patrimonio dell'Umanità dall'UNESCO nel 2013 ed è l'esempio meglio conservato di una città commerciale e di pesca delle perle del XVIII-XIX secolo nella regione del Golfo. A differenza dei suoi contemporanei, è in gran parte intatto e non è andato perduto sotto le vaste città moderne della regione. Il sito, situato a circa 100 km a nord-ovest di Doha, si estende per 2,5 km dal forte di Al Zubarah fino alla costa. Fondata a metà del XVIII secolo, la città si sviluppò fino a diventare l'insediamento più grande e importante del paese. Il suo successo attirò l'attenzione di altre potenze del Golfo e, dopo diversi attacchi, la città fu rasa al suolo nel 1811. Nei primi decenni del XX secolo fu abbandonata. Oggi il sito copre un'area di 60 ettari con resti di case, Masajid (moschee), Madhabis (presse per datteri), grandi edifici fortificati e un mercato.

The Tour was very pleasant with the guide driver with whom we made it. He explained everything well and provided us with water and of course, invested us to a typical tea of the country. We visited Purple Island and Al Zubarak Fort. El Tour del Norte.
It was a very nice and pleasant walk with Zoahib, in English, explained many things and adapted the tour to our tastes, we had a great time with him and we could know several spectacular sites

Great chance to get out of Doha and see some of historic Qatar. My guide Zohaib was knowledgeable and friendly! Be aware, the shuttle to the village does not run on Fridays.

My tour guide Zohaid knows the lay of the land and was very helpful in pointing out notable structures, places and their significance. He also knows the history very well. He was able to give insight to the structures and locations; and was also nice and polite. I liked the views of the ruins of the old city - Al Jmeil and I definitely enjoyed reading the history of Al Zubara. The Mangroves were okay too.

The North Qatar 🇶🇦 tour should be included in everyone else’s bucket list! It’s absolutely amazing. You can learn so much about the history of Qatar, how and when it all begin! My Private tour was absolutely incredible. I have been picked up and dropped off via beautiful 4X4 car. My tour guide Ali was very knowledgeable, patient, encouraging , helpful and with a good sense of humour. He walk with me together with each stop that we made, took a lot of beautiful photos and even when I wanted to take an extra time to explore Al Zubair, he never ever rushed me. This tour is a perfect way to see the country’s important cultural sites and do it comfortably! Our tour guide (driver) Irfan was very easy to talk to, rearranged the tour plan so we could make best use of our limited time to see (before closing) the fort and ancient site of Al Zubarah and come in time for sunset at Mangroves and Purple Island!

It was a very bad experience. First of all. The Purple Island isn't as it's seems in the photos. It doesn't have any water. Then because a reason that I didn't know, we arrive one hour late to the Fort, so we can't get into the facilities as the tour arrive one hour late. More than a tour this is a scam. I need the tour give me back my money. I don't pay just to go around the dessert.
