Well what can I say, an absolute disaster from the get go, our transfers said 7am pick up but then I had some rather rude messages from some random number demanding where we were at 6.35 (pick up was 7am on my ticket which is what I went by) some girl by the name of Carla from Super Transfer Services. Disgustingly rude and down right awful customer service, she needs to learn some people skills! Was then stuck at the border for 2 hours on the way and the tour guide if he didn’t mention the fact we were late by 10 mins once he mentioned it 100 times on the bus in front of about 50 other people which was rather embarrassing and uncalled for. He accused us of having a ‘late one’ the night before lol…and he was hinting that the reason why we were stuck at the border for 2 hours was because of us. Trip was lovely as Montenegro is beautiful however If I’d have known we were going to be stuck at the border on a bus for 3 more hours on the way back I need not bother.
The locations (Perast and Kotor) were absolutely stunning and the itinerary has great potential. However, the execution of the tour was disappointing due to poor organisation and unprofessional behaviour from the guide. At the border, I asked a simple question about toilet facilities on the bus and received a sarcastic and dismissive response in front of the group, which was unnecessary and unprofessional. The optional boat trip (€10) was clearly advertised as optional, but there was pressure for the whole group to participate. When we declined, the guide reacted negatively and made us feel uncomfortable saying respect the local culture. In Perast, we only had around 1.5 hours, yet we were told to wait while the guide organised the excursion for others. As we had already declined, we chose not to wait and continued independently to avoid wasting limited time. In Kotor, we were taken to a restaurant for a “free dessert” and map collection. This was effectively a forced stop, as we had to go there even though we were not interested. With only around 3 hours in Kotor, this reduced the time available to actually explore the old town. Overall, while the destinations are worth visiting, the poor time management, pressure tactics, and lack of professionalism significantly affected the experience. I would not recommend this tour operator with no profesional behaviour.
Brilliant excursion and very nice day, Niko was a great guide, very bubbly and friendly, the only criticism is the suggested lunch venue, very slow, cold food, wrong food and their service was terrible, suggest you find your own place to eat lunch and don't go with the group lunch, very disappointed with this portion of the trip but everything else was OK, even the border crossing was ok. Niko did repeat himself quite a bit with deadlines to be back as a group and we are aware why as normally there are people that ignore the time that they should be back, so it was a little annoying that he had to do this but for travellers who respect and meet these deadlines it wears a little thin when we have to be reminded constantly, this is not a Niko issue, it is a participant issue.
Come on. 1 guide arrived late with onibus and impatient. 2 arriving at the first stop directed us to a boat ride of 10 euros without having explained that it was optional, we simply got off the bus and we were directed to it. At the second stop did the same, directed us to a restaurant (11 a.m.) and already telling us to sit down. Always very impatient and stubborn. At the time of requesting the rating passed through all chairs except my.... On purpose. Nikolas, your name.
Other people were 40 minutes late. We got stuck at checkpoint and lost 3 hours altogether because we didn't leave on time! Missed couple points of interest and overall made experience horrible. PEOPLE SHOULD BE GIVEN 10-15 minutes or leave! Not whole 40 minutes!
