Questa è un'opportunità unica per visitare la casa di un locale ed esplorare la cultura e la cucina tradizionale. Gabriela proviene da una famiglia italiana. Ha imparato a cucinare dal nonno Ricardo, direttore del quintetto di tango e suonatore di bandoneon. Ha poi approfondito le sue conoscenze con lo chef italiano Mario Maiollino quando ha gestito il suo ristorante, Ozono, a Buenos Aires. Attualmente è art director e fotografa di moda e ha lavorato e vissuto in Brasile per molti anni. A Gabriela piace anche viaggiare e dice che questo l'aiuta sempre a migliorare le sue capacità e conoscenze culinarie. Preparerai alcuni piatti come la focaccia con salame, la mini provoleta (formaggio appiccicoso), le empanadas de carne tucumanas e la carbonada (spezzatino di manzo). Concluderai il pasto con un dessert, budín de pan con canela y dátiles con dulce de leche (budino di pane con datteri) o arrollado se dulce de leche (panino ripieno di dulce de leche), insieme a un po' di tè o caffè.

This felt like less of a class, and more like a visit with a long-time friend. Gabriela's charm, warmth and enthusiasm immediately won us over. We skipped the market tour, and met her at her home, which she remodeled to her exact needs. The kitchen is large, and perfect for sitting, talking and working together. Each dish was fun to help make, and tasted wonderful. The wine flowed freely and paired perfectly. What a wonderful evening. Highly recommended for your next visit to Buenos Aires!

We had a wonderful market tour in cooking class with Gabriela. Her home was beautiful. We made empanadas and stew which we’re both absolutely delicious. Her empanadas were some of the best I’ve tried. Gabriela was so much fun and we really enjoyed the evening.
