Il Circolo d'Oro è una rinomata destinazione turistica da Reykjavik. Offre ai viaggiatori panorami mozzafiato e comprende tre attrazioni iconiche dell'Islanda: l'area geotermica di Geysir, la cascata di Gullfoss e il parco nazionale di Thingvellir.
Thingvellir è sia storicamente che geologicamente un luogo importante. Fu qui che alla fine del 900 fu fondato il primo parlamento islandese. È inoltre possibile visualizzare la divisione visibile tra la placca continentale eurasiatica e quella nordamericana.
Strokkur è il fratellino del famoso Geysir che non è più attivo. Strokkur però è ancora molto attivo soffiando acqua nell'aria ogni 7-10 minuti. A questa fermata puoi anche acquistare cibo.
Gullfoss è una cascata del fiume White Hvítá. Ha due gradini di 11 e 21 metri e ci stanno tirando più 100 m3 d'acqua al secondo.
Kerið è un iconico cratere vulcanico di 6500 anni con una profondità di 55 metri.
La nostra ultima tappa sarà alla Laguna Blu. Partiremo da lì verso le 19:00 / 19:00 e torneremo a Reykjavik.

Really great day! Got to see and do so many amazing things in 1 day. Definitely bring a variety of layers including a good waterproof outer layer for the waterfall and on & off rain. Our only downside was waiting for 2 people who didn’t follow direction on when and where to be back at the bus.

It was a very long day but truly did not feel as long as it actually was. The stops and sights are nicely spaced out. Every single thing in Iceland is gorgeous and worth seeing. And the Blue Lagoon was everything I had hoped for. Our guide, Denis, was kind, funny and very knowledgeable. My only complaint is that there isn’t enough time at the Geysir. This is where you get lunch, see the Geysir erupt and shop around the gift shop. Only having an hour to do all of this felt rushed and chaotic. Especially, if you have to wait 15 mins for the eruption. Otherwise, the day was incredible and provided so many memories and amazing photos!
