I am a mobility challenged adult. In looking for excursions, I wanted an experienced shaped towards acknowledging my personal needs and someone who not only understood this but was also prepared to meet those needs while allowing me to maintain my personal integrity and not feel singled out because of those disabilities. Our tour guide, Mary, was a perfect fit. She made sure both my needs and those of my wife were addressed while insuring we could see and do the things we wouldn't have been able to do with the large group we weee traveling with. Mary worked very hard to make our dreams of seeing a part of Switzerland from the perspective of someone who lived there versus visiting guests. She had a great deal of background information regarding all of the places we visited. Mary, without question, made our day memorable. I'd recommend this company (Tours of Switzerland) for any excursion they offer. You will not be disappointed.
Do not book a tour with this company. We were scheduled to go on a small group tour to Mt Titlis, Engelberg. We booked ahead of time and were scheduled to go on May 5, 2024. The day before at around 5pm we were contact by email to state that our tour for the following day had been cancelled. They did not explain the reason why. When you travel 6,000 miles to see something it is a real downer when that does not happen. We still had two more days in Switzerland and we just moved somethings around to accommodate the schedule. We then rescheduled for May 6, 2024. Again at about 5pm the day before the tour was to happen it was cancelled again. The last and final day that we were scheduled to be in Switzerland it was rainy. Because of this company we were unable to see what we came to Switzerland for. Take my advice, if you actually want your tour to happen, do not book with this company because there are no guarantees.
Jonas was such a charismatic young man who took us to some of the most beautiful secret spots and sights of Switzerland! We loved it!!
Outstanding tour! We had a family group whose ages were from 12-75; and everyone was well accommodated. The guide (Jonas) was knowledgable, friendly, professional & took great care to ensure everyone had a great time. The support staff (Lina) reached out to us before hand with great tips for our time in Zurich, as well to make sure we were well prepared for our day trip. Yes - you will ride the train & it is totally worth it! Our guide made it timed perfectly & worth the authentic experience. As we had a little time (& energy) left in our day, our guide encouraged a stop on our return in Lucerne for a quick walk about. We are looking forward to using this tour company in a future trip! THANK YOU!
I really enjoyed our tour, we learned a lot and had a great time. Our tour guide Lina was kind, helpful, and provided a wealth of information. If I’m ever back in Switzerland I would definitely go on another tour with this company.
We had an amazing tour with Lena (spelling?) on September 6th. She met us at the airport, gave us an overview of the day and some tips (changing shoes). It is great to have a guide that is knowledgeable and can adjust plans as needed. Any time something came up, Lena would quickly adjust. For example, some persons in the party had bad knees so she helped shorten some routes. She also gave great information without sounding like it was a lecture or a manual. She was engaging with everyone and made sure everyone was part of the conversation (and gave us time to just take everything in. Engelberg was a cute town with great cheese. Mount Titlis had spectacular views and Lucerne was picturesque.
Everything about this tour was exceptional. Jonas and our tour guide made the experience one of a lifetime. Some of the highlights were going to Engelberg and tasting cheese from a local cheese maker, Visiting Lascerne and learning it’s history but I think the most exciting part was going to amount to Mount Titlis and experiencing the beauty of the Swiss Alps at 10,600 feet.
